injector upgrade
I'm running 30 lb'ers now with the engine in my sig. I know a guy here local who has a set of 72 lb hr from RCfuel injection
http://www.rceng.com/
These were on a boosted track car and he is asking $200 for the set.
I know nothing about that company and I know 72 is way more than.
Woulds 72 lb hr injectors work as good on the road as my 30's or will they be a pain in the rump?
Any input? anyone think this is a bad idea?

Re: injector upgrade
Just the response I expected to get, nothing. When I first joined this site people could actually get some sort of reply to any question.
I'm not sure if the active members these days do not know, don't care or don't like me but I see no reason for me to waist my time here anymore.
For the record, at one time this was the best site I had ever been part of.
Moving on.

RC is a good company that has good injectors. I suspect they would be fine, and you'd never have to worry about changing them again to get more flow. I'd ask RC, over the phone. They know their stuff.

Re: injector upgrade
72lb injectors are good for over 900hp and I don't think you are close to that. Is there a reason why you want to replace the 30lb's? Btw, this is a great site and sometimes it can take a couple days to get a response from someone who knows what their talking about.

Re: injector upgrade
Have you done anything to the engine that would necessitate injectors with over twice the flow of the ones you were running?
As the previous poster alluded to, 72lb injectors are relatively large to say the least.

30lb injectors are perfect for your motor. i am running a mid 12 second z-28 and i am running 24lb injectors off an LT1, and i have great air fuel ratio.
second this site is great i have met great people and they have always helped me out and this question has been talked about tons. so you are out of your mind or just really impatient.
you got 4 answers the day after you posted it. i will give you my phone number and you can call me everytime you log on so i can answer any questions you might have.

I'm not convinced the car will even idle, or that your ECM can drive 72# injectors reliably at idle.
Stick with the 30s. Guys have run 30s deep into the 11s.

Re: injector upgrade
What is the manufacturer? Are they high-z or low-z?
Your ECM can only drive high-z injectors.
You will have a very difficult time to get your engine to run at idle and low RPM - light load with those injectors. You better be prepared to do a lot of tuning to get them to work. My opinion is that they are way over kill and will require too much tuning to try and get them to work. Also, even with the tuning they may not ever work right because the pulse width will be too low.
