Re: lt1intake.com?
I am the original owner of LT1intake.com and also noticed the website is completely down. I ran the business for a few years from the very beginning and it just wore me down so I sold it. Scott bought it from me years ago and ran it for a while but he hasn't be doing business for a while now.
I am posting because I am still the domain holder. If someone would like to set up a website contact me (sportcoupe at comcast.net) and I will set them up with the domain settings for their web hosting server.
I am not really interested in re-starting the business myself. I don't have that kind of time anymore and don't even own a GM product either. I have a seriously modified Jeep Wrangler daily driver and enjoy the off-road scene nowadays. My Jeep tops out at 18mph with a buried throttle in 5th gear while in 4Low off-road. 1st gear is ridiculously slow but has massive tq. Sometimes going really slow is more exciting then going really fast in a 3rd gen. LOL.
Thanks,
John Millican

Re: lt1intake.com?
thanks for that update john, altho thats unfortunate. im a jeep junkie myself, i had a heavily modified xj but i was strapped for cash last year so i sold it, i still regret it. anyway my question is this, do u have any of the schematics for what needs to be done like specifics on the hole for the dizzy and whatnot, i kno the egrs need to be blocked but is there any port fiddling that needs to be done? i kno they dont work with vortechs and world products heads, any info would be very much appreciated. thanks

Re: lt1intake.com?
There you are lol! Took your advice from a few years ago, and went with the baby LT1 (L99) intake for my twin turbo 305. It's currently waiting for twin turbo's right now, but when I had her out on the road beforehand the intake worked extremely well, and it didn't hinder velocity in any way. Instructions were very easy to follow. I actually cut a donor distributor hole and clamp boss off of a discarded TPI intake that I had, then cut the LT1 intake in the same area, then after taking measurements I tig welded it in....

Re: lt1intake.com?
I know I'm resurrecting an old post, but did you ever get the info you were looking for? I finally found a LT1 intake dirt cheap but can't get the info anymore.
Does a template exist for drilling the dist hole?
If I remember right, you had to drill or reangle some of the other bolt holes. It's mentioned in that sethirdgen link, but what are the specifics? Is this a big deal to do?
I really want to make this happen so I really need the info too. I am also considering the HSR, but I believe a miniram/LT1 intake would suit the rpm band and hood clearance I plan on having.
Any info would be highly apreciated.

Re: lt1intake.com?
Just do what I did, get yourself a donor TPI intake manifold, and cut the dizzy hole out, just be sure to cut right by the passenger side china wall to line everything up, then weld it in, piece of cake....

Re: lt1intake.com?
how about the rest of the stuff, wiring harness, setting up the other sensors. i want to do this on my 71 406ci block, so the entire thing is from the ground up. any detailed help would be appreciated. some of the other links posted no longer work or don't have much detail.

Re: lt1intake.com?
If you going to bother with all the welding up of the holes on the LT1 intake go ahead and weld the corner holes too. Yes, they are in the correct location but their angle is very wrong as is.

Re: lt1intake.com?
I did some work to one a while ago but never used it. I was going to run the LT1 heads and run the water out the end of the heads so I left the bolt holes alone. But, now I am thinking about welding the holes up and running it on SBC heads. I drilled the hole in the back of the intake then built the rest out of weld.

I may port it out and run it on my 400

I found much of the data on my computer from 2005, but all of the super-sized images and the later templates, etc. were not there.

Reviving an old post. All of the links on sethirdgen are broken now, apparently to your old personal site? Any archives of them? I would be willing to host them if you'd like.
