Im building a 350 for an 86 camaro and decided to go with the hsr intake... Is there a way to get the intake and the nesacary fittings for our cars or do you have to buy all that later. Also fuel rails? only the holley rails or luck with other brands? and is a afpr needed? im planning on 24lb injectors. Thanks for the help. And what can i expect to pay for the intake? Ive seen $350-$450.

Re: hsr

I don't have one, but from what I have seen, the fuel rail looks pretty standard in terms of bolt and of course injector spacing. However, if what I have seen is correct, it looks like the HSR rails are the cheapest (pre-fabbed) way to get fuel rails that have -6 AN o-ring tapped ends.

This is worth a lot, SAE threads are crap. If I ever take my fuel rails off, I might swap in those just so I never have to deal with SAE threads and teflon tape again. AN fittings are just light years better.

Re: hsr

Holley has all kinds of options. You can buy the intake with injectors, rails, TB, etc and bolt it all on, or just buy the bare intake and find other sources for the parts. When I got mine I found it to be a fair bit cheaper to buy just the HSR intake and fuel rail kit and piece out the other parts, mostly due to the cost of the holley TB and injectors. AFPR not necessary, but if you do get one, save yourself some headaches and get the Kirban piece.
