HuH?

What "Stuff"

The throttle cable does not PUSH anything, it PULLS the blades open.

My stock cable worked just fine with my HSR. I had the nautilus style throttle body, so I had to grind a bit and bend the TB just a hair to make it clear the fuel rail.

Re: HSR throttle cable

My throttle cable didn't seem "long enough" after my HSR swap either.... and my throttle body blades didn't close all the way..... so I put a stong "carb type" spring to pull it shut. It works and gives me a great pedal feel.

Some people will bend the bracket @ the gas pedal alittle bit to give the throttle cable "More Length" I never bothered to look there....

Hope that helps.

Re: HSR throttle cable

ya exactly wat GTA Sammy said the throttle was long enough to hold the lever to hold everythin against the adjusting screw so it'll hold the throttle bottle where it should be.

wat did u connect the "carb type" spring too?

If you need that spring to help the throttle blades return to the full closed position its likely that you ether have flat spots or wear on the throttle blade shaft, or the spring is too weak to return it to the closed position.

Check the throttle bracket for play in the shaft. If it rotates smoothly, and doesn't seem to catch on anything its likely that the spring could be worn out.

*Whoops*, saw the pic, and though the original poster uploaded it. Though my advice would still be valid for him, if he was having that problem.

Re: HSR throttle cable

well the thing is that it worked fine just before the swap with no problems, but after i switched to the HSR it gave this problem. so thats y im thinking it could be the swap that caused it not the actual throttle body it self. maybe im wrong but thats y i came here to find out lol

Re: HSR throttle cable

I have the exact same issue with my swap,Ive found that depending on how the throttle cable was routed made a difference in how well the blades would close.I also elongated the throttle cable bracket holes to allow more adjustability instead of using massive strong carb springs and this solved my throttle issue but now my concern is if it will interfere with the tv cable adjustments.I find my car shifts too early just slighty.
