Injector location
I'm working on something and I have a question about the location of the injector. I guess I would need to know a little about the expected spray pattern as well.
I'm attaching what I measured off a stock TPI intake as a reference. What I'm curious about is how close can it be to the edge of the port (in my case, the top of the port in the head would likely be the limiting factor) and how deep can it be recessed from the airstream, like if it was not seated all the way down in the injector boss?
The red line is the centerline of the injector, the end of the pintle would sit maybe level with the top of the port, the port I hatched in yellow dots. This is at the intake-head interface. There is a step on the outer/head side of the injector boss, not sure why but its there so I drew it in.
Thanks.

Re: Injector location
Well...
I watched some videos from various resellers, took a screen shot, and dropped that into cad. Looks like a 12-15 degree angle on the cone near as I can tell. Going to call it 15 and leave a little margin, and run with it. I might add a slight relief to the head, I think I have about 1/8" I can remove with no issues with the gasket.
