super ram install egr delete vacumm questions.
alright I'm really lost in this subject I've deleted egr, and in the process of installing a super ram the question is what do I do with the vacuum lines.
Do I just plug them into vacuum ports? I read somewhere that the map sensor needs to have a dedicated vacuum port. also Do i just cap the small vacuum fitting on the bottom of the tb? and the fuel pressure regulator has a small valve coming of the vacuum line? Sorry I'm lost the diagrams don't show anything going to the map sensor, nor do they show the vacuum line from the cruise control and where its going.

I also deleted EGR on my SR, and yeah, just put a rubber cap on the vacuum port located on the bottom of the TB. That's all I did to mine and it works fine. As far as your other vacuum stuff, there's 3 vacuum ports on the back of the plenum. You can use all 3 ports for your application since you have 3 things requiring vacuum. Hook up one port to fuel pressure regulator, another one for MAP sensor, then the last one for the HVAC vaccum line that goes through the firewall to your heater controls. In fact, there's a threaded hole above one of the ports back there that you use to bolt the MAP sensor to the plenum. Since my car is a MAF system, I bought a couple of internal allen plugs and coated them with white teflon thread sealer, and used them to plug off the MAP sensor bolt hole and vacuum port. Also, I don't know if your car will throw a check engine light without the EGR functioning, more than likely it won't, but on mine I had EGR disabled in the PROM chip. Oh yeah, on the cruise control vacuum, just pick up a tee fitting or use the one that should already be there, and run the HVAC and cruise vacuum off the same port. It's better to have a separate, dedicated source of vacuum to the FPR and the MAP than for the heater controls/cruise.

I have the SR on mine and it will throw a CEL for the EGR after driving a little bit with it disconnected. I had a custom chip made from pcmforless and fixed that problem. Without a custom chip, your not getting the most out of it anyway so it's worth getting.
