Re: T-RAM OWNERS
When you have an update on the bracket, PM me. I also need to source the thermostat housing, side tank gaskets and the fuel lines that go on the rear of the intake manifold. Any help and I will pay immediately. Thanks.

Good luck on the T stat housing. Yould cut a stocker and re weld?
Make the side tank gaskets out of sheet gasket from you local parts store. You can duplicate the fuel lines easily from Summit. Short section of braided line with the correct fittings, they are nothing special.

The braided fuel line kits that were sold with the Tram over the counter are waaaaay diff than the hard line stainless tha hawks came with. Either way will work but if you want the org look it'll be hard to do.
I'm STILL waiting on a price for the stuff..

I am a patient man. My GTA runs great as it is. I am hanging on to this car for a long time as one of my toys so just keep me posted. I am willing to pay top dollar for the bracket and the thermostat housing if one becomes available. I don't mind paying for the correct components. I am more interested in originality. Thanks again.

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
My god, its like pulling teeth!!
The metal parts have been completed and the aluminum part has been scanned and a program made. (so I'm told)
As far as cost goes, the more we can make the cheaper they become.
I just wish they could give me a starting price so I can let you all know.
If we sold 5 of these I'd be surprised.
As far as the waterneck goes, I also have a guy that does castings and he is checking on doing those.

If it is a money problem, I am more than willing to put down a deposit immediately to show true interest in both the water neck and the trans/cruise bracket. Just let me know. Hell, at this point, I will pay in full up front.

Any update? It's been a couple months. Just curious. Still willing to pay up front for the bracket and thermostat housing in advance if we can make something happen. Hell, if you have specifications, I have a friend with a machine shop that has CNC equipment to fabricate and build.

I'm trying to get this done guys really I am. I have a few people wanting them but the shop is wanting to set up to do a decent run of them to make em cheap.
I honestly don't think we need 20 of them much less 50!!
Who knows. I'm still pushing.. Hang in there.

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
I know its missing that, I am running a lokar cable so the throttle cable bracket will be super simple to make a new one or just use washers on each side of the threaded end of the cable. At least it has the t stat housing
This will be a great piece to add to a 383 in the future

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
I am really considering selling both of my IROC's. I have a HSR set up sitting on the bench and could install on my 87 after pulling the T-Ram. Question is, what would someone pay for a T-Ram with EVERY option and original instructions and receipt worth today?

I cleaned up the base today , but I think soda blasting the complete t ram is going to be the way to go.

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
I have several old I takes to test it out on and was going to see how it goes. With a low pressure first and do the underside of the plenum or bye the egr on base. There is a big scratch on the top of the plenum in the rear If the soda blasting works good I will feather the scratch with glass media and it should retexture and mask the flaw. I plan to mask all machined surfaces before I start work on it. It's a real pet peeve when I see someone clean up and restore and blast machined surfaces.

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
I ordered my Formula 350 in January of 1990. I was supposed to be getting a 1990 model, but the model year was cut short and in May of 1990 I took delivery of a 1991 Formula 350 with the 700R4 Transmission. I also ordered the SLP Performance Package which was a dealer installed option that included a cold air package, underdrive crank pulley tuned intake runners, 1 5/8" stainless headers, the SLP 2OTL stainless exhaust and a chip. This supposedly bumped the hp from 245 to 295. After I installed this package on the car, SLP came out with the 1991 Firehawk package RPO B4U for a starting price of around $40K. This was way too rich for my blood, but I contacted SLP and inquired if I could buy the parts to put together a Firehawk clone from them, and was informed that some of the parts were available from Summit, including the T-Ram. I bought the T-Ram, Ronal 17” wheels and the SLP 51006 Firehawk cam from Summit. I elected to go with the TrickFlow Twisted Wedge heads instead of the Corvette aluminum L-98 heads, as they looked to flow better. Unfortunately because of the T-Rams design there were no aftermarket valve covers that would fit, so I gutted the centerbolt valve covers to clear the rockers, and this resulted in oil leaks that I could never quite get rid of so after a few years I sold the Twisted Wedge Heads and replaced them with the ported/polished TrickFlow 23 degree heads, and installed Crane Gold 1:6 roller rockers. This setup dyno’d at 314 hp at the rear wheels through the 700R4.
I have since ported/polished the intake ports and opened up the T-Ram to accept a 58mm throttle body with the coolant bypass mod, installed 24# SVO injectors and an AFR. I went back to the stock centerbolt GM valve covers (no clearance problems with the 23 degree heads), and polished and powder coated the T-Ram. I was also able to score the roll bar out of Firehawk SCCA pilot car 001 and installed it. I have not had an opportunity to dyno the car yet with the new setup, but it is very traction limited at this point.
I have also purchased a shift kit designed for the new setup from Dana @ Pro-Built Automatics but have not yet installed it hopefully will do so in the next month or so.
I like the performance of the T-Ram, and it pulls strong all the way to the redline like my LS1 Firehawk does, but seems far more torquier off the line than the LS1.
Here are a few pics of the car and engine:

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
Just curious if there are any updates on the auto/cruise bracket and thermostat housing for the SLP T-Ram setup. I would much rather do the T-ram setup and stay original but if there is no possible way to get these components, then some one please send me the specs. I have access to machine shops and CNC setups. I can produce everything as long as I have all the specs.

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
Well, sad to say that my GTA was totalled a few months back due to a driver that was high on something and ended up getting arrested. Thankfully we're both ok. I was able to salvage the T-RAM from it. I'm getting out of the thirdgen hobby for awhile and the next time I do up a thirdgen, I'm going to go LSx, so as of now, I'm letting go of my T-RAMs. I have two. One is complete and mint and the other one is incomplete and needs work. if anybody's interested, please PM me.

I ended up masking the machine surfaces and glass beading it. The aluminum was really oxidized bad. I tried white vinegar and lemon juice as a cleaner. Soda blasted it. Scrubbed it down with super fine steel wool. It looked half way decent but still had some nasty looking spots . Looks a heck of alot better than it did

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
Tuned Performance, I sent you an email this afternoon with T-Ram install instructions. It's been ten years since I scanned them and recollect a duplication / omission of instructions. Let me know via return email if it seems like your missing something. I scanned and saved on a "p" drive at work. I have the hardcover copies, just don't have a scanner at home. If needed I scan everything and resend.
