Here's a new question..using a TBI base for Single plane efi?

Hey guys I have another question. I did some calculations for the amount of CFM I'll actually need for my LT383 and I was wondering something. Instead of buying a 4150 throttle body could I use a 454 TBI base (obviously without the injector pod) and run that? I have access to one pretty cheap and the linkage would be a no brainer. From the calculations I made I only need about 683cfm for my 383 to turn 6500rpms which would be more than enough for me. Plus I believe it would be easier to tune in with AE and what not. Any thoughts on this?
