first post, thanks for looking. all my searches bring me here, so thought someone here could help me.

Equipment: Sandrail with an 02' ZZ4 with Supperram, Accel DFI

Cause:Fuel line disintegrated in fuel tank. clogged filter, then injectors. took apart, had 32lb injectors rebuilt. new pump , lines and filters. 43lbs fuel pressure no vacuum.

Problem: Cold start, engine will not hold idle without help from my foot on pedal. if I unplug IAC and raise base idle, it will settle at about 1200. no lower, even if screw is backed out and not touching butterfly tab. If i plug the IAC back in, it will stall again in a little while and not idle unless I do the above.

Questions:
1. Shouldn't the IAC raise the idle, not kill the engine?

2. Can't find initial setup for IAC using Accel computer. everything references the stock GM computer. I have no ALDL connector.

Not sure, It would have been what was available in 02'.

 

Yes idle should stabilize with the IAC. Sounds like it's not wired right.
Gen 7 DFI box will be black, Gen 6 is silver. Which one do you have? If it's an '02 you could have a Gen 6. There were still some of those around new at that time.
