2.8 V6 on Sandrail
RB, it was an interesting project. Mateing the 2.8 V6 to the VW tranny, getting the computer all wired up, gas lines run, radiator installed. Been fun yet very nerve wrecking. and don't forget $$$$$$$$$$$$.
It is raining today so trying it out will have to wait until tomorrow. I know i will have trouble keeping the front wheels on the sand.
I do enjoy such projects.

Hey shorty, where are you from? I'm in northern OK., and I used to go to Sahara all the time till I sold my rail early this summer. I rode with a guy several times that had a 2.8 rail with a junkyard turbo! It hauled pretty good. Those water pumpers make good HP; but they could never keep up with the VW's through the trails or the woops! Good luck on your project!

bo ty guy, I'm in the Okla panhandle. Had a blast at the sandhills yesterday. All worked great.
By the way, if you are interesting in owning another rail, the sandrail will be for sale, including a nice trailer. contact me.
