Need a cam suggestion for Superram/AFR 180/350

Currently I have the CC304 and I want more power. I am looking at one the following 3 cams
cc305
cc502
cc503

I cant make up my mind so any suggestions would be great. Keep in mind I have a stock converter at the moment but i will probably get a 2400 stall converter before summer. Like I said suggestions would be appreciated and if anyone has 1st hand experience with any of these 3 they can share that would be great.

Your build is almost exactly the same as mine. I have Comp's version of the cc503 which is the XE268 cam. It is great for the Superram. In fact John Lingefelter specifically calls out these cam specs in his book for use with a Superram. Good luck!

Awesome, thanks for the advise. That is the cam I have been leaning towards, but I wanted to hear from someone who had experience with it.

Out of those choices 503 cam hands down, i'd even do it on a 110 lsa, that be the 276hr i believe. Or you can get alittle more aggressive with a custom xfi series 224/230 but will need afr 8019 springs imo

That must have been before he contracted with Accel/Erson to offer a line of roller cams for the Superram.

The only difference is that the Erson stuff only had smaller durations but the lobes and overall specs were influenced by John himself.

Lpe 219/219 has been a proven cam for superram setups

Correct. I still have access to those lobes in case anyone would like a cam.

Re: Need a cam suggestion for Superram/AFR 180/350

Comp makes a 220/230 HR cam that works fantastic
Crower same thing 221/230 wish I had the grind #s.

Picked up across the board coming from a 280 XFI (that went flat in under 20k, roller too!)

I ran the 219 cam with a 383 and superram and it was a bad *** combo.

I would vote for the cc503. But with a 350 and a head at 180 I would think it might be choking a little up top.

The motor is currently sitting with the intake and front cover off. I have decided on the 503. I have been slow milking this job for a while.

What did you end up picking for a cam and how does it run with the superram? Any vids?
