Alternator support after stealth ram install

Hello,
I just installed the HSR on my camaro and the old alternator support doesn't fit. It is the support bar that goes from the alternator to the water neck mounting stud/bolt. I figured maybe an alternator support from a tbi of the same year might fit but I can't seem to find one. Any body have any part numbers?

Thanks!

I dont run a SR but when I added an aftermarket intalke I needed to weld up a bracket to utilize the header bolts as a source of support.

I did this https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/alte...bracketry.html Worked good. Just sanded and painted chrome black.

I used stock alt support bar. Just cut to lenght and rotated the end a bit to align and welded. #1 header bolt with a threaded coupling (female to female) to threaded rod to head with another threaded rod at opposite end of coupling with a nut. I can post a pic?

Re: Alternator support after stealth ram install

Thanks for the tips!
I actually ended up using a 1/8" thick piece of steel that I found in our scrap pile at work. Cut it to proper length, twisted it with a pair of channel locks, since the ends oppose each other at 90 degree angle and drilled holes in the ends. I will post a pic of this later when I get a chance.

Thanks!

I believe it was the hose for a 1988 firebird formula with the Tbi intake.

Re: Alternator support after stealth ram install

Its from a Monte Carlo V8 86 or 87. I think its the same for both years. I had to cut about 1 3/4" of one of the ends to get good bends. It fits perfect.
