HSR bracketry
Currently on my engine swap on another thread and I'm using a stealthram. I have already noticed that my alternator needs a different style bracket to mount back up with my new manifold. Any suggestions? Also are there other brackets I will need? If this has already been posted please paste links.
Thanks

Re: HSR bracketry
Those look like the same thing you've already got (stock), just, with "chrome" added so that they'll look like crap in about a week.
Easiest thing to do might be to get a later-model serpentine system, since those don't require for anything to bolt to the intake at all.

Re: HSR bracketry
I didn't realize that the bracket was different for that one application... it stayed the same from the mid 70s until end-of-life for carb intakes. From 69 to whenever (about 72 or so) it went to the pass side water outlet bolt which looks like it wouldn't work with that intake.
That other bracket, the carb one, goes to that bolt hole you can see in your HSR pic in front of and to the pass side of the water outlet; so in that case the Summit one would work, or one off of a carbed car.
I sure wouldn't get a "chrome" one though, unless nothing else was available; in which case I'd sandblast the "chrome" off and paint it. But that's just me, I DETEST rusty parts that are all shiny around the rust, so the rust stands out so plainly.

I haven't gotten to fuel lines yet. Prolly won't be for another 3 weeks or so. Feel free to check out my thread "357 stealthram build" and I'll be sure to get some good pics for ya. If you beat me to it then let me know so I can check yours out.

Re: HSR bracketry
I had to grind a slot in the coil bracket on my iroc. There is a ridge on the stealth ram between the bolt holes of the coil bracket and it cannot sit flush against the intake in its factory position on the back two intake bolts on the passenger side.

Re: HSR bracketry
Thanks for the coil pics. I had started mine the other day and got it mounted today. As far as tuning I was gonna call this guy http://www.lt1pcmtuning.com/about/ and do the email tune. I have a autoprom but I am really new to using it. I think though if he writes up a code to get me moving I can figure out how to burn it and bring it to a dyno for some better numbers.
