Remote Mount EGR for the MiniRam II ?

Hi Guys,

I am presently plumbing my new motor.

I do not need to pass a sniffer test. Hoever, I need to pass a visual.

Unfortunately, i do not have space for the TPIS EGR kit. The valve covers are too big for the kit to fit.

So, the idea is to build a remote EGR system.

I guess someone has been down this path before?

Suggestions?

1.
Should I chassis mount the valve and then use flexible SS Gas tube as couplers to the engine EGR hardline?

Similar to a 4th Gen with the LS.

2.
Other ideas?

Best Regards,

Bruce

Do your local smog laws allow moving the egr?

Re: Remote Mount EGR for the MiniRam II ?

To my knowledge, the laws do not stipulate where the EGR valve is located.

I am thinking about creating an EGR valve block that is mounted over the cylinder #8 primary tube. The EGR input would come from the #6 primary. The EGR output would then route over the valve cover to the MiniRam II vacuum port. This solves a bunch of problems in routing hot tubes around the ECM harness.

Just to pass a visual.

However, the EGR plumbing is capable of full functionality.

Alternative ideas?

Best Regards,

Bruce
