4150 Intake and Throttle Body

All of you guys running a 4 barrel style EFI intake with a 4150 style throttle body. Which throttle body adapts over easiest to the TPI wiring and throttle and trans Cable? Also, is there a preferance to which EFI 4150 style intake that is sticking out above the others?

Re: 4150 Intake and Throttle Body

I am using the Accel throttle body and I feel it is an easy switch. Accel gives you an IAC connector converter so you can use the stock TPI IAC connector. The TPS is the stock connector. IAC and CLT sensors are both TPI sensors. You will need to use new/different throttle and transmission cables. I was able to use the el cheapo run of the mill universal braided MR gasket throttle cable. I have a manual so no advice there.

So electrically there is no real problems but you do have to change the throttle cable and detent cable for the 700R4? Do you run a regular air cleaner?

Re: 4150 Intake and Throttle Body

I run an open air element with one of those extreme flow lids. It does suck warm-hot air but the only other option that looks good is one of the carb hats meant for blown carb setups. Those hats are usually $100 and I am not in dire need of a few extra horsepower. Sensors' conectors for these style efi for GM are easily rewired if you need to.
