what color paint should I go with?
Having the Iroc painted, and I was wondering if I should go with the Factory white or should I go with the Pearl white? Another ?, should I put the "IROC-Z" decals and stipes back on after I it's painted or should I just leave it plain.

If it was my car, i'd go with the pearl white & leave the decals & stripes off. But, if I re-painted it the factory white, I would re-apply the stripes & decals. But, you do whichever you want...the car's gonna look great either way.

i know someone with a Iroc that is pearl white and it came out like $hit. Make sure you get a good pearl and someone that knows how to do it right. His car always looks dirty and it is really bad. Go with a Green or Blue pearl. Make sure they put at least 4 coats on the car to look super good. My first car 82 Berlinetta was factory red with Blue Pearl, When it was dirty it looked a lil pink but when it was clean it was awesome. It had 5 coats of pearl on top of the red. Just do it right the first time so you are not disapointed. make sure to wetsand and polish after 4 months. You will love it more then.

Damn everyone seems to like the color os my car. The really bad part about it is taht those pictures suck ***. The car was the dirtiest it has ever been and there was no sun out whatsoever. I guess taht meens when I get the car back to Jersey Time to take some good pictures. Nice and Shinny. Thanks for the compliment. But if you can afford it go with a house of kolors color. I was going to get their Rootbeer color. Oh it is so nice. But then I seen what the Kandy Apple Red Looked like over the Dark Silver Metallic and fell in love. i spent 3 hours looking at the color chart for house of kolors in the sun on the hood of my 88 Take it that car is black and it was in the summer. To hot. What kind of color are you looking for? If you go to any of the Auto Body supply shops by you they should have some color charts that would give you a really good idea. Personally none of my cars have been the same color except for my 88. Which is being repainted to when I get my 86 back.
I just love the fade job from dark at the bottom to light on top. There's a guy who works with my mom at the hospital and he paints hot rods like that. I walked by his elky at a show, and it wasn't until I was about to leave that I realized there were two shades on the car! Man, it was awesome; very similar to yours. I asked him how he did it and he just said, "very carefully!"

That is all one shade. It was just a bad day to take pictures. The ground effects are a different color but thats is. I do see taht you are saying about the shadding.

Here is a descent pic of me and my sport coupe, I am not sure what shade whit it is I just know when its washed it hurts your eyes to look at in direct sunlight. I saw an IROC painted the same shade and it looked great, we both have windor tint and that really helps it look great.

I like the stickers and stripes on an IROC-Z, but at least always put the stickers on, and keep the headlight pockets colored. I would go with the stock color for a repaint, unless you really want a different color.

86camarodriver, what year is your car. I know its not a 86. I love those noses. If I was to do my car again I would use that nose. The only thing is it's hard as hell to get ground effects on that front end.
