Damn Faded Wheels!!!

I recently had an accident and need a new Front Left alloy wheel. The only problem is that my 1992 camaro has uniqely "faded" colored rims (red). Now, the NEW rim that my stupid body shop ordered is Bright Red!!!!
ANY SUGGESTIONS?????
PLEASE!
PS. Honestly, I wouldn't mind no color at all - is there a way to strip the color off all the wheels???

If you have the 91-92 rims then the red paint is just faded over time. I have seen very low mileage 92 Heritage Ed. Z28's and the red paint on the wheels is the same tone as whats on the body, very rich red. I would just paint your other wheels to match the new one. It will improve the appearance of your whole car.

I've got a nicely faded wheel in my garage, in fact a whole set of 4 of 'em. My friend just traded in his '92 Rs and sold it with the winter wheels & tires. Let me know.
