Formula Wheels On My Firebird

I am about to score a good deal on some 91 formula wheels for my 91 bird. They are almost perfect and i am paying next to nothing for them. I am wondering if the 16x8's will be any problem on my car that was originally a 15x7. I know i will have to get new tires, and i was wondering what the stock formula tire size would be for a 16x8 inch tim. So, should i encounter any problems with these rims? This will give my car a way better stance than with those 15x7 inch wheels. Thanks for any info

i swapped wheels on my grandfathers car....i put my 15's on his 88 formula and put his 16's ws6 wheels on mine.....every once in a while when backing if i cut the wheel too hard the tire will rub but thats it and its onle when backing up. the tire size on them is 245/50/16 i believe. it was actually a little shorter than the 15" wheels because i did a mph/rpm equation off of camaroz28.com and with the rpm i was turning at a given mph my final gear ratio was around a 3.90 and i had a factory 3.73 ring and pinion

I did it to my 88. I have had no problem, just remember to make sure that you put them on right. They are front to back specific. The car handles better, looks better, and even hooks up much better. Just be carful about backing up and turning the tire. 245/50R16, and maybe around 1/4" difference in height from my stock tires- 215/65/R15.

I did the same now but

I have a big doubt ....i have the formula wheels qith 245/50/R16
and my car is a 82S/E
the wheels are 16x8 but they dont show out of the wheel well ..i have a friend with a RS CAMARO and they looks a lil bit outside the wheel well.
I remember a Formula of a friend of mine also looked a lil bit out the wheel well ...what this could be ?
