Well, I need some opinions on rims. Due to lack of money and 3 cars to work on I need some ideas on my rims. Should I redo the rims in white, another color, or buy some new ones? Suggestions appreciated. Thanks

If you polish them it will look just like my car! Different hood though... I have the factory SMC (glass).

You know man, we should take a better picture for this.

Personally I like them white, but man you're never gonna get the hook you need for a good launch with those size tires/wheels on the street. But we've gone over Ideas for that a million time.

The white wheels/red car looked pretty good on this mustang my freind had... its no longer with us though due to a tree.

Hmmm, I think polishing them may look good. Should I just take Paint stripper to it? I think sandpaper would just scratch the rims up?

JohnyIroc-Hey do you have any more pics of the car with the polished rims. I havent seen any with the rims polished on the car yet.

Dave-Thats what 15x8's with MT slicks are for, buddy. I am not racing that car on the street. (Too crazy anyways) If you win, people always have excuses for losing anyways. At the track a win is a win

Haha you wanna bet people don't make excuses at the track? Try "I spun off the line" or "I missed a shift" or "My cars not dialed in just right yet" or "I still need to mess with the carb its not adjusted right yet."

polish them, I'm thinking about polishing my IROC wheels, just not sure if I should polish the whole thing or to put the gold back on them, since my car is the black & gold package Marks look great and that is what's motivating me to polish

Yeah, how do you polish them without showing lines from the sandpaper?

You know man, you're still going to need bigger ones for the track.

Read the sticky at the top of this board.

But using 400 grit is the last grit that will remove scratches.

Also, using 3M Aluminum Restorer helps a lot after using the 400 grit.
