a hair dryer works to take the sticker off but still leaves that sticky residue thats when u use the wd40 to wipe it off.

get yourself a 'stripe eraser', it makes things go ALOT faster... it attaches to a drill.

There is a product called Goo Gone that takes it off also. I haven't tried the WD-40 method, but I know that Goo Gone won't hurt the paint.

WD-40 and Goo Gone used in conjunction with a hair dryer are great, but just remember, they are solvents and you should clean the spot with Windex to remove all the solvent and then apply some wax to protect it.

use a hair dryer to soften the adhesive so you can slowly peel the sticker off, then use goo gone to remove the remaining adhesive, washing w/ warm soapy water afterwards.

I like this:

www.eastwoodco.com

VINYL ERASER AND ARBOR
$ 14.99
Item-no 37023

You can remove all vinyl pinstriping, graphics, and adhesive residue without damaging the paint. Simlpy mount the eraser in your air drill (recommended speed is 3,500 to 4,000 rpm.) and safely remove all the old body striping in minutes. Unlike chemicals and solvents commonly used for this job, the soft wheel is gentle to the finish. Not recommended for acrylic lacquer or plexiglass.

Similar to what Hg was talking about.
