Need help, trying to modify a fiberglass hood
I just bought a Daytona-style hood for my Z28; it hasn't been installed or even sanded yet. It comes with slots in the pseudo-cowl for installation of louvers, but I think louvers look stupid, and I don't even have a set of 'em. (Not to mention that they really don't fit with the paint scheme I've got planned for the car.) So I want to fill in the slots, maintaining the natural line of the hood.
Any suggestions? Just Bondo won't work, there's way too much to fill in ('bout 1 1/2" at the deepest point, I'd say), and that's messy besides. Some combination of fiberglass sheets/matting/jelly would probably do it, but I'm curious if anyone's ever done something like this.

That's a tall order, not to mention it'd never look "right".........get some blisters instead of louvers.....or.......I have an extra set of louvers w/ all mounting studs if you decided you wanted them........if you really don't like either,I'd sell the hood and get another one,but I wouldn't fill it in........more trouble than it's worth IMO.
