how'd you break it? the flexplate in my 2.8L Blazer broke and that was weak

well this isnt a 2.8. its a 5.4. but there must be too much power for that plate right there. i dont know if its maybe for like a 305 or what. but it didnt hold up long. it came with the car. and the guy i swear didnt know what he was doin with anything. but it was fine when i put it on. not now though

About thirteen years ago I had a '78 Monte Carlo with a unmodified 305 (factory rated at 140hp) that did the same thing to the plate. It didn't actually separate into two pieces though, the center was hanging on by a thread.

he's gotta put a gasket or something on his oilpan then he can drive his "white trash moblile" ...personally i don't know how people on the board can call it that.....
