i was just curious..... is possible to to setup a lap top in the car to kinda act like a stereo? well im sure its possible but what im thinking about what would u guys think of it. im saying cus u can use it for everything. music movies and videogames. im thinking of making some kind of stand and some adapters to a small amp cus im planing to completely elimante the stero. do u guys think it would look cool? thanks for any opinions.
It would probably fit in that empty spot under the vents over the center console. Make sure you mount the screen that way you can fold it up. You're just asking for that thing to be stolen if you don't hide it when you're not around.

Most laptop's have an 1/8th inch stereo headphone jack. By purchasing one of those cassette thingies (tech term) that come with portable cd players, and you would be set. Plug it into your laptop and mp3 to your hearts content.
just bought one......paid 300 for my dell latitude and it works awsome.
i had planned to use it for an autotap, unfortunately autotap doesn't make the obd-1 connections any more....so i'm stuck hooking it up to my stereo.
i would leave your head unit though, as things would be rather complicated as well as costly. just use the typical headphone jack with rca's and plug it into your stereo's inputs....instant mega cd changer!!!
