Just did my TB bypass..

I just did my Trottle body coolant bypass, It makes the TB area alote more cleaner and you can see the runners better , I am going to take it out for a spin right now and see what a difference it makes in keeping the TB cooler + I have to go buy a push in breather . I'm going to take pics to post some before and after shots & my results as soon as I get back.

NOTE: I posted this in the appearance section because it has to do with the appearance of my TB section.

the results

Ok.

I tried to turn on the car and it wouldn't turn on, then I realized I didn't connect the tubing to my vap canister .

I tried to turn on the car again and it started fine but then it wiged out for a few seconds! My radio turned on and off, my rpms were hoping around and my check engine light turned on for a couple of seconds but after that the car ran perfect. guess it had to learn or something, that and I got some antifreeze on a plug lol.

I drove the car to autozone and bought a push in breather to get rid of the ghastly factory one I had before, Then I drove down to IHOP and had breakfast, then I drove down to my friends house to show him the mod, the I drove back to auto zone because I forgot to get some black wire covering stuff, and Then I drove back home. all in all this took me about 2hrs.

when I parked I poped my hood open and felt the TB, it was pretty cool! I was able to rest my hand on it. I was like WOW ROFL.

the TB response in all honestly was a little better.

All in all the mod was a win win situation & I recommend everyone do it. I will explain why.

1. It keeps the TB cooler.
2. It makes the TB area look cleaner.
3. It is extremly easy to remove the TB now, just unscrew and vuala
4. it is a virtually free mod and you get all these benefits from it.

I went the route of removing the old tubing and buying a 10 inch 5/8 rubber hose with a 90 degree elbow in it. it cost me about 8 bucks. "note: This may be a no brainer, but make sure you get a hose with the elbow in the far end, not in the middle."

expect to be cutting the hose to make it fit better. Less hose = better look .

expect the pics in a bit.
