Done Sanding and Polishing 91 z28 rims (pics inside)

I finally finished polishing my 91 z28 rims, but didn't get to spray
the inserts this past weekend like I wanted to. However, I did pick out the
color I think I am going to use . I am going to paint the inserts
a dark smoked grey metallic. The rims are not as highly polished
as I want them to be, but I will polish again after the painting is
over. For now I will be taking care of the prep. work (cleaning the
surfaces with solvent and taping off the polished areas). I also
ordered the kumho 712 255/50-16's today from tirerack.com for
$89 a piece.

Tell me what you think, about the color choice or
polishing quality. I already know the center caps need to be
polished more, but it has been hard to get them reflective.

I wish I had a spare set of wheels so I could start to refinish mine.

what is your time and money in this project?

there is a guy around here that will re-do all 4 of my wheels (includes the red paint) for $250, I think I might just pay him to do it. I've seen his work, nice

vicv8rs91- It is going to be about $150 total when done.
However, I am going to have put in about 40 hours total in sanding,
polishing and I am going to be painting the inserts myself.
I will be base coating and clear coating them. I like
being able to say that I did it myself and I am on a tight budget.
If you have someone who will polish them to this level of reflection
and will prep., paint, and clear the inserts for $250 that sounds
like a good deal.
