I named my car Paula (I had a crush on Paula Abdul years ago) but my family refers to the car as the Black Widow, a name that came with the car (It was my mom's car orig, She's a widow herself)

I talk to my car too, and pet her on the dash board when I'm really happy with her I think I might need help LOL

Remember the British guy that drove the Land Rover (or the animal with wheels that go 'round and 'round instead of up and down, as the narrator put it )?
Because his Land Rover was tempermental, the character in the movie called it "the Anti Christ" a few times.
The Gods Must Be Crazy is a movie my friends and I saw like a million times in school as young kids, and one of my friends gave it that name because it stranded me once.

Not to be picky, but that name is usually spelled "Genevive."

And to the guy that pets his car on the dash, I've done that so many times that there's one clean spot on my dash (with no dust on it) because I give it a quick pat when it makes me happy.

The Camaro is either the 'maro or the piece, depending on what broke on it recently and how much it cost to fix. My parts getter is less reliable than my project car.

The Trans Am is either the beast, the bird, or when I'm the only one in the car, honey. G0d I need a life. i actually kissed the steering wheel the other day when it pinned me in the seat. It just livened up my whole day getting plastered to that seat and watching that tach climb and that gas guage drop. Acutally, it's low on gas, I, uh, need to get some. On the way we may see how that new ignition fires up at 5300 rpm though.

Well, here's a funny story. I have a Flame Red '87 IROC (pics to come soon) with red and argent IROC wheels. I was taking my girlfriend out for a spin on some two - lane backroads one day and she was sort of complaining about the speed I was taking the corners at. (Under 55, of course... 55 in a 25 mph corner is legal, isn't it? ) So I look over at her, she's white - knuckling the armrest and the dash pad, eyes all wide.... and she looks over at me and says: "You know what? You know what this car is? It's nothing more than a BIG RED PEN*S!" So, that has kinda become it's nickname!

I call mine the Phoenix, it is the bird of fire, and it come back from the dead. By the way I think the main reason why guys name there cars after women is because I can't see getting in and out of guys. But that is just my thought.

Very true. That's the reason I deemed my first bird a woman. My formula is, however, a guy. I did that with hopes of them one day getting together and making little firebirds.

How cool would that be, they would pop out perfect 1:18 Scale Dicast Models of each of my cars.

HAhahahaha .....

I sometimes refer to my car as the little engine that could. Take a wild guess what engine I have.

I agree with you on your car having a mind of its own. Some days my car wants to go out for a run, but other times it wants to go running, but gets tired, and wants to take a break. I really hate it when my car goes on vacation (break down).
