What exhaust manifolds did u use for the swap?
How does the GN ECM interface with the GTA body?
I want specifics, cause I been wanting to do a similar swap on my IROC but have sice been looking at other alternatives.

if u want to run the GN heads time to ditch the AC, you can use the GN headers but you'll have to get a custom downpipe.

I have a question for u. I am planning on something big for my dad for his birthday and i had a question. What size is the turbo 6? is it like a 3.1L or something? MY dad has a 3.1 am i was wondering if i could get the turbo kit off of a grand national like the headers and make it work on his car? or would i just have to buy the engine? Also, if i have to buy a whole engine, do u know of any places that would sell used ones? I figure since i have a few thousand from my contract sighning bonus, maby i can help him make his 3.1 as fast as my LT1. Its just a question though.

its a buick 3.8. It's NOTHING like the 3.1. no way shape or form
and stock TTA's generally run mid-low 13's add a few hundred $'s in the right parts hello low 12's

If anyone wants to see Fly89GTAs turbo swap, click here. It was quite easy to do, I was surprised how much of it is just plug in and bolt up with the V-8.

my car is gettin there, if people would stop ****in hitting it in the parking lot i'd spend the $ to get the rest of the body work done and i'd paint it..

they did a special on Trans Ams.....the '89 TTA is still the fastest bird ever produced. runs low to flat 13's stock from the factory....the new anniversary one doesnt even do that this many years later. thats impressive!

too bad last night i crashed it
it will have its return in a month, ill post some pics later on tonight...it's pretty bad...but i know where i can get a GTA front clip so it looks positive....I fishtailed on some wet oil after it rained by my job, it got side ways on me, and when I regained control I was in the middle of the road and hit another car head on...No one was hurt...I guess thats all that matters, at least thats what everyone keeps telling me...
but my car is like a person and it was hurt pretty bad...
As for the 3.73's, i bought the car w/ a spun crank bearing and the previous owner had the 3.73's in it already
LKet me update you on my luck w/ this car as well...So far the bottom end was rebuilt, the tranny was rebuilt, and now i think a lifter dropped out on me...alright gotta get some sleep for the dissambly today....this sux....later

I got a front clip for $500. It's black. The car is goin into the shop Friday. The fenders on the clip have the brake ducts which mine didnb't have...trying to find positives w/ this

jesus christ man, good thing you're ok..i felt bad when u told me what happened last night...its worse than i though, but anything can be fixed, just make sure you go to a good shop and have a credit card with a big limit

the frame porbably is alittle bent in, i know when i hit another car that the frame went in because the drivers strut tower went in towards the relays on the firewall. also on the irco-z the side ground effects cracked right where the fender meets the door. i totalled it and made more then i paid it. Glad you r ok.

Yeah I took another look at it and its bent
The strut towers are pushed up and back. The whole clip has a deposit on it and will be goin into the shop early next week w/ my car goin in friday.

Looks pretty bad, my 1988 iroc-z looked like that but alittle worse. I hit the guy so hard that my dashboard cracked (one nice crack all the way through and i believe my windshield had many cracks also.
The scary part about my accident was that the gas pedal got stuck somehow and the car kept moving around after the impact i was very scared because i tried to kept the car from going into the other lane an hit another car(s), thankful i was stepping on the brakes with all my weight and i got the car to go into park and then i forced the key to the off position.

All that is left are hooking the headlights up. Now I wait for the arrival of my new intercooler and fan. I will be driving a black and maroon car (pics in a couple of days) for about 2 weeks and then its getting painted the week of August 12th. I am getting a 70mm throttle body within a few weeks and a boost controller should be arriving at my house tomorrow as well as an adjustable wastegate.

dude, is the car going to be driveable by this saturday? If so i'm heading up to Steve's house in Brooklyn to tune my car...if u can make it swing down, it'll be nice to see all TGTA's in one spot

It's not gonna be ready b/c im waiting on the intercooler, fan and such. I would go over if it was gonna be ready. I'm leavin for Arizona in september so we all will have to meet up before than.
