Your just a copy cat. Me and Josh91Bird were the first to get these hoods 2 years ago.
Now EVERYONE has to have one on their firebird.

Hey I got one of those hoods two and i bought mine 2 years ago too. But i got black racing stripes and they start from the ram air and go back
Found a steal, a STEAL I tell ya.
Picked this car up last night for $500 and drove her home. Took a brush
and a hose to her, just to knock the crap off her. I will begin the total
cleaning tonight. Need to see what all it will need to make it reliable.

89Formula305, please stop letting me see those pics... It scares me to think what my GTA might look like under the carpet, especially after that quarter panel thread.
It looks like it's coming along nicely though.
castrolSi: Damn.... :hail:
Oh and 88 WS6 TransAm GTA, thanks.

Story... Short form
Buddy of mine bought the car from the original owner. She wanted
to have it fixed to be like new, and wanted to know the cost. It was
too much money for her to spend, so she sold the car to him, and
bought a new car. Well, he did some repairs and gave it to his
daughter, who was way to young to appreciate the value of a nice
3rd gen Firebird. So it sat, because she didn't want to drive it. It
sat, and sat and sat. I had expressed to him how much I really
liked the Firebird, so one day he calls me and tells me to come and
get it. Well, the wife tells me that I am no longer allowed to
purchase non-running cars, so she goes with me to look at it. We
went ONLY to look at it, and ended up throwing a battery in it and
driving it home that night.
Technically, it is still not even paid for, because I told him I didn't
have the money right now. He basically told me to just get it out
of his yard and pay him later.
Rebuilt the carb the other night, and put a major tune on her so far.

That is my story so far. I am hoping to restore her to pristine
condition over the next 6 months or so. Will keep you updated if
you like.

Castrol, definitely keep us updated.
89Formula305, I hope they're not as scary as those other ones...
I'd love to see how it turns out though.

im gonna post (or at least try!!) some pix of my '87 Formula later today when i can get a new Polaroid. hopefully ya'll won't laugh too bad because she is in sad shape at the moment. as soon as i get my Chevy pickup going again she is going into full project mode (torn down, re-done) complete with her new 383 TPI and sinister black paint job with red Formula graphics. so be a wee bit sympathetic...
Well, newest update is...
carb is tuned and engine is running STRONG. There is a weak link
in the chain however... Anyone wanna guess?
700R4 is shot. I need another one. Anybody know anybody selling
one for cheap in the southern states? Shoot me an email if you
do.
Thanks...
