Hey, would an '88 Corvette TPI system like that work for a '91 F-Body L98 like in my car? I know that system uses MAF, and has 2 vacuum lines going into the plenum on the pass side, and one on the driver's side, while the SD system in mine has all three vacuum lines going into the plenum on the pass side. Thanks in advance for any help.

The 88 intake will work, you can either do the simple solution by installing a "T" in one of the vaccum lines, or drill and tap another hole in the rear of the 88 plenum (also pretty easy). I ran a plenum from a 1988 GTA on my 91 Camaro for a while, I had just used a "T" in the brake booster line for my A/C vaccum line.

I use tools, doing them by hand would take forever... Some of these guys go that route, but I prefer to spend a total of 45 minutes to complete a plenum

45 minutes? Please, do tell... I'd love to polish my plenum and runners but I don't want to spend half of my vacation doing it.

I have a large selection of tools and sandpaper, and experiance. I lost count of how many TPI intakes, wheels, misc. parts, etc. I have polished. I would guess around the neighborhood of 45-55 intakes.....

Hey RU-QWIK, Why is the grooves on the plenum on the right longer than the ones on the left? Did you fill them in? IF so with what? It looks super clean. BTW, the bid is up to $305 on the polished stuff on ebay with the reserve met. Not too bad but it will go up some more. Great job on the polishing RU! I havenot decided weather I want to polish mine or not but man they do look good!

The "grooves" in the top of the plenums are longer on the older ones. I think 85' to 88 got the long grooves, and the 89 - 92 got the shorter ones. The Corvette, I think got the shorter grooves in 88. I do not know exactly what years, but that gives you a ballpark. I have a ton more stuff to put on e-bay that I have polished. I guess I did not realize the demand for polishing work. I have anything from valve covers, to Mustang 5.0 intakes.... Hopefully all this can finance my new bench for buffing.:lala:
