I'd go with black. What's your interior color?
Oh, and your sig, I think someone said Camaro is a French word meaning friend or companion something like that.

Is it a camaro or a firebird? I'd probly say to get viper yellow, and the glossy black would be good to. Hey you can't go wrong, and about the "best" looking, i thik everyone would give ya a diff answer.

I am with Black over yellow any day of the week on a 3rd Gen. Just make sure it is a quality black paint job. BTW Camaro = French for commrade or military friend.

Silver silver and silver......
But if I have to choose between black and yellow....
Yellow with black headlight sockets and black stripes on the bottom of the car. (look at my pic for the stripes)
Yellow with the black heritage stripes.
Black with really small yellow stripes along the bottom of the car (see pic again)
so many possibilities.....not enough car to test upon...

dark metallic teal :-)
I've always wanted to paint my cars black, but I think they would look too dirty too often...black looks great when it's clean and shiny but when it's not it looks pretty bad....so I vote for the Yellow w/Black Stripes.

Another annoying thing is when you post a picture of your car in nearly every thread, related or not.

I have noticed some people who just upload a pic for the hell of it when it TOTALLY doesnt relate.
and there is no pic of my car in the post, you all know the color.

BLACK ONLY!
"ImportRS" I am afraid to ask just "How do you know"?
Anyway BLACK on BLACK in BLACK if you want to look MEAN. Trust me I know too. Just prepare to be a detail expert because you will be cleaning your car a lot.:hail:

Black loos cheap and all the paint, dent and etc problems show. It's too cheap a color, too many on street. Yellow is distinct and rare and looks great on original factory type jobs. Andy

If I had to choose between black and yellow, I'd definitely choose black... I'm not to keen about yellow on any car. If it was a Camaro, put silver striping along the ground effects (like on an IROC). If it was a Firebird, just go completely black.
Silver is also another nice-looking color but I think it looks best on a Firebird with a little bit of metal-flake... very unique.
Out of all the ThirdGen colors that I've seen, I'd have to say that I like my color the best
. It's called "IROC Blue" and to my knowledge, the shade has changed over the years -- my particular shade was used for the 1985-86 model years.
(Ignore my rusted tailpipes, I've replaced those since that picture was taken...)

Hugger or Prowler orange..I have two black cars right now and I've had 4 all together. I do like black but when I do get another thirdgen I plan on painting it hugger orange and if it's a Z28 possibly white stripes. I see black cars all the time even though they look great i'd like to have something different myself.

I love my balck car but you can look up Maniaac, he has a Sunset Orange looking car and it looks good.
Here are some of my other choices:
Electron Blue (C5 Corvette)
Sebring Silver (C5 Corvette)
Torch Red (C4 Corvette?)

There is no certain best looking color, the best color on a thirdgen is what that owner wants, i had a red thirdgen and i liked it, but i wrecked it, then i just happened to buy a black formula, they that got wrecked (someone hit me this time), and now i just happened to buy this car and that is black, when i look to buy a car i dont really mind the color, i look at condition and options stuff like that.
As long as it is a thirdgen, i love them no matter what color.

3rdGens look best in White, Black and Silver. Any other color I'd have to judge on a car-by-car basis. I had a black IROC vert and it was a pain to keep clean. White is a lot easier to maintain . . .

Black is a pain to keep up, if you have a garage AND a car cover paint it black.

I'm particular to white myself, cause I have a white car....but the latest issue of Super Chevy magazine has a 1990 blue iroc that is one of the meanest lookin cars ever. I would definetely go with that blue!
