I'm not trying to be an a-hole, but we don't like it when people come on the board and talk a bunch of numbers but don't have anything to back it up. So where is this "mythical" sheet from your mechanic that you have yet to post up here?

And you're 16 and work 5 jobs? Do you work only 15 hours at each job each week or what? And when do you have time for school?

And not to knock your mechanic, but if you just paid me $4000 to do stuff to your engine, I'd tell you it made 375hp too. It may very well make that, but just on his word with no dyno sheet or any hard evidence to prove it, I wouldn't be bragging.

And to defend Pennyless, I know him and have seen his car, and if he says it makes 265hp, then I believe him. It's a hell of a lot more believable than 375hp.

And its perfectly understandable if you don't know that much about cars. We get lots of newbies on the board, and most people are patient and helpful to them and answer their questions and stuff. But just don't try to be an expert when you really don't know that much. No one would flame you if you were honest about your knowledge base.

Age doesnt matter, I'm only 18.

So does your hourly wage differ with the amount of bull**** you spew? Or do you get paid in tips? What are your other 5 jobs?

Penny didnt get rude with you first, you were insulted because he asked politely for proof and in your need to defend yourself you came off as a dick.

Oh, and I am LottaBallsCamaro and I was the dick, not MrsLottaBallsCamaro.

Now add your cam, cat-back you're up to maybe 230HP. You don't have headers, you don't mention head work, I'm not seeing 265 RWHP.

Achually, you have AC delco air filters and I dont see a single perfomance item included in that bill, granted, I can hardly read that bill.

You may want to get rid of your home phone #, address, name, etc. on that bill.

Edit: you do have a high capacity oil pump though.

Dude, why do you own a camaro? Do you have any idea how much money you could have saved if you did most of that yourself? Cap/Rotor/Plugs/Wires, Altenator, Thermostat, Oil Pump, Oil Filter, Hoses and Pulleys, gaskets, sensors, brake pads (why on earth did you get someone to do this for you?) Do you have any idea how much knowledge you would have gained by doing that stuff yourself? You really need to learn about your car before you go off and hand it to some mechanic..... Plus, I see some BS items on there....

WTF does Rebuilt Plenum mean? Its all one piece.... And the rebuilt seat motors....how much did that run ya? I bet you could have bought a set of 4th gen seats for what he charged ya....

All that is besided the point though.....This thread has turned to garbage, and needs to be locked.

dont listen to pennyless...hes an *******..the biggest one on here IMHO...and if this kid doesnt have this much hp so what..he was trying to be cool like those of you that have that much!!! take it as a compliment..although it sometimes hurts to know that you have put a hell of time and money in your car to get it that fast and to have a "newbie" come in and "pretend to have the same as you" its almost a shot to your ego..well kinda but thats neither here nor there..

the main point was valid..YOU NEED PROOF.. and now he knows this..and hopefully he will show it in time..but for now..let him have his glory...everyone deserves it sometime..(even if it may be false)

The engine was bored over .20 and the heads are ported and polished. Info is on my website or should be there.

Dereks 350 runs about the same 265hp, my mistake is that this figure is at the flywheel and this was just using some figures in Desktop dyno.

Second i asked him how he had the 375HP cuase he posted 375HP IROC-Z on his first sig, the one everyone keeps mentioning with the chick on it. And all he did was make up some bull**** about all these parts when he posted a picture in a few other threads of his engine bay which looks bone *** stock.

Glad to see he got rid of it, and he finally admitted to having jack ****.

Btw it is a nice car since it looks like mine.

I'm not a newbie, been here a long time, my other screen name has over 2000+ posts under it, but with a new car i changed my name.

Second all that coming from you? You get joked on pretty hard usaully about how you riced the **** out of your ghetto ride. But I personally say two thumbs up for having the guts to customize your ride. Its just a shame there aren't really better body kits, the ones their are suck *** like the one on your multi-colored ride.

Its GHETTO-RIFFIC homeslice.

Well that's better, but 265 is kind of high but I guess that depends on your combo. .20 over, I've never heard of that, most of the time you go .30 at least.

But you had the time to spend 6 hours leaning photoshop 7. The bill clearly states AC delco air filters. It mentions nothing of a cam or head work. Post a pic of your engine too if you would.

I meant porting and polishing of the ports not a valve job and a resurfacing, that will do almost nothing for your engine. You still didnt answer me about the cam.

I'd also like to know how you have made so much horsepower with the stock TPI runners and the stock chip.

I can understand you not attempting to do head work and leaving the new pistons to the pros, but why the other stuff? Because you dont know how is a LAME excuse man. Not tryin to be snotty and rude, but how are you ever going to learn how to do something if you dont ever try it? I had never changed an oil pan on ANY car before, and I was able to change mine, along with the pump and pickup. Sure, it was a b1tch to accomplish since I had never done it before, but now I know how to do it if I ever need to. The altenator....probably the easiest component to change besides the serpentine(sp?) belt. I highly suggest that you buy a Chiltons manual or on of the GM technical service manuals ($$$, but MUCH better). That way you will be able to do things yourself and learn about your car instead of paying through the nose for a mechanic to do it. Granted, you'll need some tools, but you dont have to buy them all at one time.

I know a kid just like you at my school he thought his car was the fastest and he always said his mechanic did this for him and I would ask what brand and specs and he didnt know, now I dont know alot and I am only 17 but I try to do all the work I can that I can my self. Yes you can always find time to work on your car because I work 50 hours a week. those must be some serious exhaust manifolds.
I was like you at one point but then you find out how much you dont know.

yes but dont try to lie about ratings on this board because most people on this board are smart enoung what it takes to hit 375 h.p. And having a mechanic do all your work is not a good way to learn, because hands on is best and you can learn from your mistakes. So what does your car have done to it seriously?

Uh, you can't become ASE certified by taking a High School Course.

And my car has 475 HP.

HEHE....

edit: I forgot to include the pic of my totally aftermarket engine bay.

Kid,

The model in the big is way too big unless she plays basketball

The proportions are out of wack, she towers over the car, she must be HUGE
