I got a new hammerhead shifter handle today. I thikn it looks real nice, but i don't know how the F%#@ to get the stock one off. I am going in a car show tomorrow morning so help me quick, don't just look, give me a reply! I hav come to the stage now that i am so pissed i may beat it off with a hammer!. how do i remove the automatic shifter handle?

 

don't know what you have, but if it is a Camaro there is a little C=clip in the front bottom of the shifter ****, pull that out & vuala its out.

If you have a Firebird then you are S.O.L. because I dont know how to remove those lol.

IS that shifter made for an auto, in other words does it have a button?

 

Yeah theres a clip. feel in th front of the shifter and you will feel it. get a flathead screwdriver and pry it out. then the shifter handle lifts right off.
