Pics with IROC decals on door
I finally got the IROC door decals put on this past weekend. I put them where the 88-90 IROCs had them because i think they look better there. NOw all thats left on the outside is the GFX emblems. Anybody have a nice set of those they need to get rid of?

Im the opposite, I always thought they looked misplaced by being at the back of the door. Nice looking ride though!

Your car is lookin good. Though I feel it looks odd sort of now. Since you have an '86, that third brake light and the decals being at the back just look weird to me.

ehh i guess it just comes down to personal taste on this one. I am looking for a whole new hatch glass off a 91-92 car so i can have the inside mounted one, which i like the most out of all of them. This car is a hodge podge of several different years, so i figure putting the Decals in the back isn't gonna make a huge difference anyhow. Heck, the car isn't even really an IROC, but all its parts (engine, suspension, interior, etc..) are either equivalent or better.

I just painted mine. The shear thought of trying to make vinyl lay down with the contour of the bucket makes me cringe. It's much easier to just tape it up and spray it. Ideally, you should have done it before you sprayed the rest of the bumper, that way you could still paint over any overspray. Your just gonna have to take your time and do a good job taping it now.

looking good
about the door decals
i always liked them to the front of the door, till i bought my car (88) now i like them better to the back.
it's all to your taste.
i rather have the center tail light in the spoiler though i thing that looks good. i don't like the one in the inside of the top hatch like the 91-92s

my main reason for liking the 91/92 hatch is because IMO it's the cleanest one. For some reason i never liked the light in the spoiler. I like having the light up high, but obviously the 86' light looks like a rediculous afterthought in design (hence its one year life span). HEy who knows, maybe i'll get lucky and find one with a high rise spoiler already on it

your car looks great. i prefer to have the iroc decals on the back of the door. are you going to put the stripes on? IMO iroc's without them look plain to me.

Leave it just like it is man!!!(looks wise) All I can see that it could use is some tint, maybe 15%? I just got 15% and it's killer. The 45 series tires, aww yeah... maybe lower it an inch? This is just my opinion, so take it or leave it but... I wouldn't put the stripes on it, and I wouldn't get a high rise spoiler either. I can't tell from the pics either, have you polished your tail lenses? If not, that would be something good to do too if you are bored... mine look like new. And I see you moved your tailpipes up under the bumper, looks good
I like the no tips look, it's just clean.. like how the stangs have the dumped exhaust, nothing cluttering up the rear end....
P.S. Are you satisfied with the IROC-Z door decals? My car is getting painted in the next couple of months and I can't decide if I want the IROC-Z door decals or not... did you regret it or anything or did you have no second thoughts at all? Also, what kind of paint did you use in the headlight pockets? Gloss black or flat black or what? I've never really seen a 3rd gen Camaro that is in good shape, so I'm not really sure what it's supposed to be... lol.

I'm not going to put stripes on it, for a couple reasons. I don't think any of the factory stripe colors would look right, i don't really wanna go through the hassle of putting them on, and three, it's money that can be spent better elsewhere, like GFX emblems or something.
Hg,
I don't plan on doing much more exterior wise beyond the emblems and possibly the hatch. But don't worry, even if i did find the high rise, i wouldn't put it on, i'd sell it to subsidize costs a bit. I've thought about tint, but i do 90 percent of my driving in this car in the evening/night and i have enough trouble seeing now. For the taillights i'm planning on cleaning them up and then painting the turn signal portion red as well as the taillight portion. I gotta go through inspection this week so i'll do it after that. I am planning on lowering it, i'm just a bit leary on putting stiff springs in there cause i drag race it every friday. As for the exhuast, i love it just how it is. You can't really see anything, but it's really loud, so it suprises people. The only tips i would ever even consider would be a set of 4th gen Z28 tips, but again it money better spent elsewhere...
As for the decals i was pleased with the quality on them, they went on perfectly, and under close comparison to a friends factory IROC decals, they look perfect. I wish i could tell you what company made them, but i bought them off the classifieds on this site, so i'm not sure.
Hope that answers everyones questions, and thanks for the compliments!
