Seriously though, the other two fangs that were on the car helped with the effect a bunch...unfortunately, some &%^^&&* walked off with one of them at the NOPI show in Pigeon Forge back in June.

redbird,
its not the amount..its just the acknowledgement that my car is a model...i get discounts from them(they are making a ram air hood for the camaros if anyone is interested) and i think thats it.. its ok though...i dont mind..but i have friends that are sponsored by maguires..all they get is free product periodically..so its kinda the same lines..

If they're working on a new RA hood for 3rd gens, i'd suggest something a little more along the lines of the 3g body style, unlike the current SS hood which has really rounded edges / styling cues, and maybe something similar to this K1 hood.

You mean to tell me there is a thirdgen under that supra? What is that one of those evo kits? Sorry for letting my opinion out but I hate those things. I bought my car cause it looks like a Firebird, dont know what happen there. What is the point in changing the whole body style? Dont get me wrong iroc2nv's car is not that bad but that one above, Man! I will never get it.

Calling that a supra you sound as dumb as someone mistaking a camaro for firebird or opposite, I wasnt saying for them to make the whole car or anything like that, just ignore the rest and focus on the hood styling for the ram air scoop NOT the whole car, how hard is that to understand ?

Thanks! Its too funny that it looks like a tongue. See even my car has a sence of humor when it comes camera time. :sillylol: Originally posted by redbird_400

But hey I know what you mean. Most people buy cars because they like the way it looks. There are select few that buy a car as a donor for a kit car like the K1 Evo kit (Evo I and Evo II) and plan to totally change the look. The pic of that black one is the new Evo II from K1 Styling. The full body fiberglass replacement Kit costs between 8 and 9 grand (depending on options). From what I've read people either hate it or they love it. No in-between's. Its definately not for everybody, but what can I say, I really like the look ... ALOT. For me it makes perfect sense because I get a car that embodies, in every aspect, the GT style that I love so much (dont get me wrong .. liked the camaro alot but I love the Evo)
Sorry to stray from the topic iroc2nv, just had to let that out. Congrats on becoming the model car for F/X Designs. I'm always glad to see new and original appearance mods (I'm a sport truck modifier at heart .. so that means I love body mods, body mods, and more body mods). Keep up the good work.

When I bought my first Camaro (the 90 RS), it was because of the look and sound (at the time I thought performance too, but didnt know what I was getting into with the 305 TBI hehe). I'll never forget ... I saw it in the used car lot and before I even started it or took it for a test drive I wanted it really bad because I really liked the look. But then over 5 years later, I saw the K1 website with the Evo I kit. I was completely blown away by the exotic european GT look. Its something completely different from anything you see on the street, even the Lambo's and Ferrari's. And with a Chevy platform you get the added benifit of a huge aftermarket, american dependability, great v8 sound and performance, cheap parts, and cheap service. It was then that I new the Evo kit was the way I wanted to go. I was on the lookout for a donor for a long time, and just recently I found it (over a year after I saw the Evo for the first time). I love my new 92 B4C, and even though everyone hates me for it, I will be converting this car to the Evo II. Of course I'm gonna be doing engine work (LS1 swap and forced induction) to back up the look. When I'm done (should take around 2 years), I plan to use the car to promote a company I want to start, as well as enter local car shows, and try for magazine coverage.

Hey whatever floats your boat man. Must be that Hawaiian smoke getting to ya.j\k
I cant agree with you choice of body style but there is one good thing about your decision that I can agree with. At least there will be a V-8 and a third gen frame and suspension under that kit. Not a 4 banger riding on a kazzo. Hmm..... There is a new photochop idea. hehe:sillylol:>Hey! do ya'll have a drag strip out there? Any pix?

Yeah, that's the plan. It will be the 3rd year in a row for me. Its one heck of a huge show. This year I'm not leaving my car overnight though. Last year, I got a trash can in the side and rear. The wind was insane.
Yeah we do have a Drag Strip out here. Its a tough one too ... little bit uphill with the wind always blowing at you (not from behind or the side). Unfortunately, we only have one track here so it also doubles as the Roadracing track for cars and bikes (SCCA, Driftsession, Etc). So (if you can imagine it) you combine a 1/4 mile strip with the 180 turnaround, the return road, then a small turn, a S-turn, a huge burnout pad (circular), and then the road to the tree (lineup road). thats pretty much it. Here's a pic (The red areas are for the drift sesisons)
We also have a dirt oval track right by the 1/4 mile strip where people do dirt track racing. Pretty wild!!
If you want some pics of Thirdgens in action on the strip (Drag, SCCA, or Drift) PM me and I can send them your way.

Riciest Camaro Ever
I give that red and black camaro the 1st place rice award. you have got to be kidding me, and Rev limits car is just as bad!!! I saw that new front clip, from an Accord!!!!
CONGRATS ON THE OFFER, BUT IF THESE GUYS THINK THEY ARE GOING TO SELL THIS PRODUCT, THEY CAN LOOK FORWARD TO GOING BANKRUPT!!!!!
IF YOU GUYS WANT TO LOOK LIKE RICE SO BAD WHY NOT GO THE FULL 9 YARDS AND PUT FART MUFFLERS ON AND TRIPLE SPOILERS AND CRAP, HOW BOUT SOME STICKERS???
i SUGGEST YOU GUYS GO AND BUY SOME RICE AND TRY TO STUFF A CHEVY V-8 IN THERE. I WOULD HAVE MORE RESPECT FOR THAT THAN WHAT YOU GUYS ARE DOING WITH THESE *** AWFUL DISASTERS YOU CALL A FRONT CLIP!!!!
oh yea, REDRAIF, your car looks ridiculous. Not cool, sorry.
I have some suggestions for your car
1st Get that da#n upside down spoiler off of the front
2nd put a V-8 in it and get that v-6 red hosed motor out
3rd red tint or any other shade looks stupid
4th most of us would rather have a car that hauls *** and looks like a beater than your car with that v-6, you said that you are painting it over??? use that money for a motor!!!

Oh goody. Another one.
Here's my list of suggestions:
1) I suggest you blow me.
2) I suggest you get over yourself.
3) I suggest you start sending money to people to mod their cars so you can honestly pretend to have a say in what they do.
4) Realize that it's not about YOU.
1) See the first number 1. I realize I'm getting a bit high in numbers so I'll start over.
2) Fully appreciate that your opinion means exactly what it's worth. In your case, maybe a little less.
3) Post pix of your car.
4) Speaking of awards... Congratulations to our newest winner, you.

Just suggestions and my opinion of course, and as you FULLY understand, it's okay to "opine".
Typical low brow that feels you have much to offer the world I see. Hopefully you are sterile so you can't accidentally infect some female with your sperm, creating mini-low brows. Not that I think there's much chance of that mind you.
"Some ***** you just can't reach. Which is why you have what we had here today. Which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it."

2. You may as well buy a 91-92 RS with a good body for your wish list.
3. Please send some of that Hawaiian whatever you are smoking over there to float that car up to under 3000 lbs, that kit is not a full tube chassis using 3rd gen suspension, it is a bolt on body kit, the rear section is nothing but added weight, heres from the K1 page on the attack FAQ "Well, the car is light. These mirrors are light and evocate a light feeling. Something like spider legs. EVO´s mirrors are heavy and look that way. EVO is 3700 pounds vehicle..."
So i doubt you'll be magically losing 900 lbs somewhere
All I can say is that if everyone was close minded, we would not have alot of the great looking exotic cars out today. If the designers at Ferrari thought that every car should look the same I'm sure they would be releasing the 2003 Ferrari Whatever with the same body style from the 70's. There are people out there with different ideas about how they want their car to look. And if they want to buy a Camaro and do whatever to it, then thats their right and there is nothing you can do to change that.

Please dont ruin this thread and get it locked. If you want to talk to me about something, just PM me, dont get valid threads locked by making this some kind of flame war.
Like I already said, its hard to find a good condition car here with no rust and a hardtop. The fact that I found a B4C was just pure luck. If anyone wants to trade a run-of-the-mill 92 z28 hardtop with no rust and pay for shipping for both, then I'd be glad to trade and save this B4C. If not then just shut up already cuz I'm sick of hearing ppl bitch about it if they're not gonna do anything to solve it. And how about next time instead of reading out of the FAQ for some other kit car (yeah the Attack is a completely different kit car based on a Honda Accord body) get your facts straight before calling *me* a fool. The Evo II lowers the weight to 3200 pounds, and with the other weight saving mods I plan to do (inc tubular k-members, tubular a-arms, gutted rear interior, removed A/C, light weight race seats, light weight race wheels, and an all aluminum LS1 engine) I am estimating the car to weigh around 2890 pounds. Don't assume that I dont know wtf I'm doing because I live in Hawaii. Also dont assume that just because I live in Hawaii I do drugs. Behind this screen name is a crazy individual with very very big plans. I have spent months researching and calculating this project and I will succeed.
And yes I think different and original looking Camaro's are better than boring stock looking ones. You dont like it too bad. PM me next time instead of setting me off with this rubbish.

You go to great lenghts to prove yourself inable to read, I got the weight of the Evo from the FAQ to the Attack because it was listed there, if you think you are going to knock 200 lbs off your avg. 3rd gen by adding a huge rear fiberglass section to it and drop the weight, keep dreaming, the a/c system, maybe 50 lbs, rear seats 20, k mem and a arms 60, the LS1 is what 60 loss, lightweight seats, oboy theres 20, off a 3700 lb car as stated by K1 Styling, I highly doubt you'll get down to 3200 :-/
Straight off the K1 Website, click the link to the Evo I, click Dimensions:
Length 186,5 inch (4737mm)
Width 80,5 inch (2045mm)
Height 46,0 inch (1170mm)
Weight 3220 pounds (1462kg)
Donor CAMARO/FIREBIRD 1982-92 "F-body platform"
Engine modified GM V-6, V-8
Wheels 15"-17" Compomotive/o.z. Racing
Tires F-245/45/17", R-335/35/17"
Body kit Fiberglass composite reinforced panels
Interior Polyurethane/Fibeglass, Leather/Velvet pattern
If you would like to further discuss this, please PM me or lets start a thread about it. This thread is to discuss the F/X Designs front clip.

You know what?, Redraif's car isn't my cup of tea either, but it doesn't make it okay to post an unprovoked negative commentary about it. I have read her posts and replies long enough to know what kind of message board member she is. It would be nice if members like you would take the time to "get to know" the regular members around here. If you had done that, you'd know that she and LT1guy are already planning a V8 swap. I have never met Redraif personally, but I have met her boyfriend Joe (LT1guy), and he is probably one of the biggest gearhead horsepower junkies that visits this board, so I don't doubt that whatever they install will be a bit on the impressive side.
Anyway, try being a little nicer to people...you may actually like it.

You know....I don't normally post on threads that turn out like this. But something bothers me. As far as I can remember, people on thirdgen.org (and other places) define "rice" or anything "*****" as something that makes a car look faster than it really is. Am I right? Now...on to point 2. We as thirdgen owners think very highly of them and would argue and bicker with someone who has a superior car just because we think our cars are fast. (I'm not saying they aren't....I've got a 350 too).
On to the most important #3.....If they are adding body styling to a car that is by most owner's opinions fast already, then how is that ***** at all? It's not. By definition it's not.
CrazyHawaiin....I'd trade you if I had a 92 z28, but I don't. There are still many many b4c cars out there guys. One gone isn't a bad thing. My props to you man for having the ***** to do this kind of thing. I wanna see pics when it's done. Lots of pics.
Z28racer...no comment. You're just pathetic.

With the repetition with which I post this I may have to put it in my Sig. On the V-8... one is going it as soon as we decide which one. I would have done it sooner, but I did not know how to put it in myself. I will not pay a mechanic $5000 for 350 plus the parts, plus "who knows what" in labor to do the swap for me. And that would be a stock tuned port. It would only run 15s in the 1/4. That’s 2 sec faster than a stock 2.8L. Wow, so much bang for my buck.

I will take it one step further… I decided I wanted a show car first. Something I could do for a reasonable amount of money. So thats what I did. And I'm winning, so that shows the real truth, not you close minded views. The 2.8 still runs and now is better running that stock, so it would be a waste to rip it out before we are ready.
[Rant mod on]
As far as $ on "looks" compared to $ for a V-8 If I had spend the money on the engine that I have my looks mods, I still would have nothing. See very little $ went to the " looks" mods. I went to junkyards and got creative. I will break it down for you:
Ok, remember, I do things myself, so there is no labor, except for paint.
$1000 to the hood painted (hood actually a performance mod, so doesn't really count -$895.00 ) So $100 to paint the hood.
GFX: $150+$75=$225
Spoilers: $200+(paint=$160.00)=$360
Mirror conversion: (including paint)=$100
All over paint: $800
Shaving with paint = $300
Extra Exterior Lights (fogs for safety so they don't count): =$430
Headlight conversion: (less than one headlight motor)=$80
Strobes = $100
Tint=$350
Tires (not counting: they cost the same as any performance tires)
Rims: Discoed so on clearance sale: $1200
Labor:$0 (did it all myself except body paint)
***So the total on the exterior looks mods= $4045***
Still not at the cost of the engine & parts...
Interior:
Seats on loan,
Carpet: $150
Soundproofing:$300
Lights: $200
Trim extras: $200
Head unit: $0
Carbon Fiber: $0
12in sub: $0
Rest of speakers: $450
Amps: $250
Changer: $200
Door poppers and power acc: $350
Labor = $0 all done by me
***Interior: $2100***
Subframes and suspension upgrade was necessary regardless.
So add the 2 and you have: $6145.00 So for that amount. I could have a "new" stock tuned port with accessories in my basement uninstalled. I would have the computer, tranny, and the extra $1000+ left over would be to pay for the new wiring harness, gauges, and gas tank (someone told me I would have to have a different tank something about the way it is baffled inside: not sure on this). Now I say "new" because until recently I had not the skill or help to taking an engine out of a car from a junkyard. And I did not know enought to trust a yard guys opinion of the worthiness of a used motor.
I would hate to think what the labor costs to install would be.
And it would still only get me a 15sec time slip. So now before it goes in it needs to be built up…Now ideally you are talking boring to a 383. Outside of the cost there, for even a strong 350: I would need a cam, lifters, new rockers, valve springs, heads, head work, porting of the intake (or a mini ram), bigger injectors. What did I know about any of this? Nothing! So I would have to buy the parts and pay someone.
So it was not feasible. I had small amount of money over a span of 2 years that got spent on the car. That’s not the case with an engine swap. So I made the choice to do what I could do myself. Till I had someone to teach me to do the swap myself. That was not possible till now. Joe and I are going to do the swap. It will be a motor that can get me a high 11 sec time slip on motor alone. And since we are doing it, not only will he teach me how (knowledge = priceless), but I can get that power for less $ then the cost of the stock swap, since I’m not paying labor.
So who is being foolish wasting $ [/Rant mode off]
Moral: “Kick Butt V-8s come to those who wait”

I must be the poster child for the sneak attack. I have never asked nor will I ever ask opinions of such close minded individuals.

CrazyHawaiian: I too love the EVO kit. I plan to do one of my own. Once my car is done, I will get a junk yard donor car and begin to make an EVO. We also plan to make a true targa bird.
of course it will be a while.

Gay rims!???. Does that mean "stylish" like a gay man's clothes. Cause its common knowledge, amoung women, that gay men know style.
What's a fart muffler...is that when your muffler backfires??? You mean fart pipe, dude...
I'm sorry, I'm just in a goofy mood all of a sudden. I can't stop laughing!!! :sillylol:
