Hey, IROC2NV
wHAT ABOUT IT, CAN YOU BUILD THOSE SCCA GT STYLE FRONT CLIPS??? I WOULD THINK YOU COULD MAKE SOME BIG BUCKS ON IT IF YOU COULD FIND A PRODUCER LIKE YOU DID FOR THE ONE YOU ALREADY MADE!!!!CONSIDERING THAT NO ONE MAKES A FRONT CLIP SIMILIAR AS FAR AS i KNOW.
That one that redraif found a pic of was pretty cool, but the bottom spoiler didn't protrude enough and the car wasn't low enough. The style was there though, probably so those UK thirdgens can chill at 150 on the autobahn!!!
Crazy hawaiian, no offense taken, i forgot that you backed me up that time. Anyway I'm from the Big Island In Kona, You're from Aiea???
Last time i was there I saw a black 85-89 Iroc with super fat rears on it burning all kinds of rubber by the Ice Skating rink by the stadium. I was only 17 and said "Da*n, I can't wait til my car does that"!!! LOL I think everyone has been there at some point.

OH YEA!!!!
CRAZY HAWAIIAN- Me and my dad already have a donor car for a K-1 evo kit!!! I have had an 83 Z for a while, bought it for 800 bucks and drove it home, only 80k mi.
Theres this site where a guy shows the entire build up of his K-1 on the net. He uses an 89 Iroc (good year) and shows a few of the things that didn't work and that he did instead, etc. It would really let you see what you are in for.
My dad has a small car dealership in Kona, in the same building as our Body/fender shop and our mechanical shop, altogether 15,000 sq. ft. Anyway he wants to build about four of these (red, black, white, silver) and put a few mods on a 350TPI exhaust, minor intake and a supercharger, to get them to run fast and then rent them for like 200-300 bucks a day as an exotic!!!

Again you just arent reading, or trying to read between the lines, I havent knocked you for deciding to build the car, nor for wanting to do the long list of changes to the car, simply for wanting to hack up a 350 B4C and replace everything that would make it a B4C or a 3rd gen Z28 for that matter, rescue some crap car, think about it, by the time you are done, none will be left, you've gotta repaint anyway, so you may as well do it right and spray the jambs etc, also on losing weight due to adding a lot of fiberglass panels, think about it, the old door skin doesnt come off for their panels it simply adds on, the same with the rear section holds true, the glass stays, they have an add on panel that makes the glass appear smaller, the rear, ok maybe it removes the original bumper cover, but have you ever had one off ? It's light as all sin. Im just not seeing where you are going to lose 700 lbs.....

Some of the cars look very original, but everyone has thier own stlye and taste. I liked the black headlight pockets on the Camaro's so I painted mine on my Trans Am

I also liked the 91-92 Camaro Ground effects, so I put them on my car as well,

Z28 Racer: Back up off of Crazy Hawaiian, dude. I mean, what's so special about a B4C, anyhow, the 140-amp alternator?
Keep in mind that Crazy lives on an island where cars are exposed to bright sun and salt air year-round. An island thousands of miles from anything resembling the mainland. There's probably not a real big supply of mint-condition used cars on hand. He's said he's not really crazy about rebody-ing the B4C, but apparently there's not a whole lot of ThirdGens to choose from there. It's not like he can buy one from a guy in Ohio and drive it home. Like he said, he'll take an RS in a straight-up swap for the B4C, as long as you pay shipping. I'm not sure I want to find out what it costs to ship a car to Hawaii. Do you?

How about it being one of a limited number of cars that was factory available with a/c AND the 1LE package ? Yep just forgot that part huh, he didnt say an RS im quite sure he said a nice condition Z28, although I dont really see the point, once he's done he may as well have started with a good condition RS .....

Have a link? I'd REALLY like to see this site. Shannon and I have batted around the idea of doing one of these cars (we'll start with a boneyard refugee, not a running car...we'll change everything anyway).
Man I missed the dually burn out. I bet that was crazy . I have a dually and could just imagine the burnout. Man the cost of the tires though. Thats when you got to the junkyard and buy some Maypops the day before and use them.
Yeah my car should be up and running by then..if not I will be there either way. Yeah ill just make sure I e-mail ya or whatever a week or so before the show.

However, the real point of that post was that there aren't a whole lot of cars for him to choose from. If he's on the Big Island, even if he finds a car in Honolulu (sp), It is still going to involve a boat ride to get it to him. Either that, or a very large airplane.
PS: How long did it take you to find the post where he said he'd take a Z28, not an RS? I hope you enjoyed the time you spent proving me wrong in fact, if not in spirit.
Have a nice day.

nope
Don't have a link for the web site, If you search for it under YAHOO you should find it. The car is Red and he uses an IROC w/350 and I believe it's an 89'. For those of you who don't really appeciate these cars, check this site out. They show it when he finishes the car and parks it next to a Lamborghini Countach, makes it look really bad...

I like the black headlights pockets idea on Firebirds/Trans Ams, any one else have any pictures of this?
Why? Why bring this post back from the dead?
The B4C I was talking about back in '02 when this thread was going on was sold to someone, sold again, and then wrecked. I saw it last year at the track with a smashed side and mismatched wheels.

Dont worry Z28, I've got my hands on another B4C, another 92 with the L98, and K1 no longer makes the Evo kits. Hahahaha!! This B4C will be restored back to STOCK and then sold. Profits will go towards my next motor project.

GOT R I C E ???????
DUDE, BURN THOSE PICS. That looks like crap, it looks like you put a lot of time and effort into it, but it does not suit this car.
The nose on the Irocs are the defining image of the car. There is nothing like it. You just made your car look like a Supra or some c r ap like that. You are confused, you want a R I C E R with the power of a camaro. You need to get back on your meds.
Seriously, cut it out. Try to make a new centre console or something else that does not affect the looks of the car.

Ignorant? Something tells me you don't belong on this board.
Here we bash everything that's not a ThirdGen. I also have a 1988 Mustang 5L on my driveway. I'll slag that too here, and only here. Why? because this is a ThirGen thread.
Personally I don't mind Supras, but the picture attached illustrates the point I was trying to make. I just wrote the first R I C E R that came to mind. Ummm notice the resemblance?
As for the power, yes you are correct. Supras are rather powerful cars and I don't doubt the fact it can smoke a stock 3rdGen, BUT it does not command the respect like an American Muscle car does.
This thread is not about you and I. Let's move on. I posted, you replied, I retaliated. Now look at the attached picture and eat your words.
