4th gen spoiler(trans am)!!

i may be able to get a deal on a four gen spoiler from a 1997 trans am. i know that GT Auto sells a fourgen made for our cars but would the spoiler right off a 97 fit on my 91? how do you think it would look? i don't mind having to drill new holes, but i want to know will it match up around the back windsheild?

if you buy the one from GT AUTO(link on top of this page) then it will fit a camaro, but you'll have to make new holes in the trunk because that one is sure to fit thirdgens, i want to know if i can take one off a 97 and put on because i can get it for really cheap!

Check my website under "Appearance -> Fourth Gen Spoiler" and if you have any questions, ask.

It can be done, but requires some mods. The center 2 pedestals are about 1-2 inches too short. You must make them longer some how, or get rid of them. Other than that, theres not too much more problems with it except drilling a few new holes!

topic back from the dead...

I am interested in doing this mod also. My question is: What are the stock 4th gen T/A wings made of? If they're fiberglass it would be no problem for me to extend the center posts. If they're plastic... or worse, that rubbery-foam crap like the 85-90 T/A spoilers, I'm not gonna even try.
