Well Zepher didn't put it on his bird. Except for him I have not seen on on a bird yet, so I say go for it.

Re: should i get this spoiler???
I wouldnt do the spoiler for one reason. That is a nice 91 GTA. Looks VERY nice to me. Keep it original. If it were a T/A, base, or formula I'd say go for it, I loved it on zephers, but not on a GTA. And if it were my car. I'd leave the A/C on and not do your other future mods. Why not keep it orignal and put your money into making it perfect.

I don't like the Z28 Hi - Rise wing on firebirds because the wing doesn't span the entire width of the car. From the back it looks like a short step ladder from the fender to the top of the wing. Firebirds have about 1" extra length on each side of the rear end of fenders due to the fact that the birds taillights do not wrap around and cut into the fenders like Camaros. What this means is that the Z28 wing looks like its not long enough when you look at it from the back. If that does not bother you like it does to me then go for it.

I like the spoiler on your car there Mr. Jordan. I had no idea you had the spoiler. Cool!
no_car_yet: 86fyrbrd made a good point. I did not even look at the fact that it is a GTA. That's a hard call. Is there something wrong with its spoiler?

now i am not sure what i am going to do...
the wing it has now is in perfect shape. i just wanted this one because it makes it look a bit better IMO. i also plan in the future to ghet a new crate motor too. i can't really afford to get another car to soup up and still keep this one all origional. whatever comes off this car i'll keep i won't throw it away or sell it.i like the car origional too, well, we'll see what happens i guess.

I'd put it on, in spite of the fact that it is a GTA. GTAs are nice, but I for one am tired of the stock look being preached as gospel for these cars. I wouldn't mod a 1LE, Firehawk, or Turbo TA visually (not anything that wouldn't unbolt at least), but any others are fair game. The cars aren't worth enough to worry about hurting the value, or their "heritage". Build it as YOU see fit and enjoy it...don't worry what some guy who gets off on date coded hose clamps and correct chalk marks on the firewall thinks of your decision. After all, the greatness of the third gen isn't what it was stock, its what you can make out of it. Its the perfect platform for mods...V8, rear wheel drive, exc suspension. Restorations are for museums.

Sorry bigals87z28 but that picture was not of my car. It is of someone else's ride on this board. I was only using the picture to show what the Z28 hi - wing looked on a Trans Am.

I love the looks of the 1991-1992 Z28 spoiler on the Camaro's or Firebirds. But of coarse.....everyone has there opinion. I have a 1991 Z28....and that's one thing that makes the 1991 and 1992's stand out. I noticed that some of the guys switch parts from Camaro's and Firebirds which is really awesome. I actually put the TA lower fender vents in my old 84 Z28 I had.....I popped them out of a wrecked TA in the junkyard and molded them into my fenders (of my Z28) with dura glass, bondo hair, bondo, fiberglass, and glazing putty. Didn't won't them to crack or fall out. Doing such things like switching parts and customizing really makes your car stand out.....and if people see you going down the road.....they are going to know that its you! not anyone else!! So....I say...go for it!!

That is the wing I would like to put on my car. I think it looks fine. But lke it has been said, it needs to be alittle wider. I am sure that a little mod can be done to it to make it happen.
