Motion performance, I think thats the name, has one too. I know it has been discussed here. Run a search. I think there is someone who has one.

I don't like Motion Glass because they don't have a website. Even the smallest of body shops in my town have a website. Motion Glass could make a lot more money if all of us could view, order, and ask questions about thier products via the Internet. We always hear that Motion Glass makes this and that, but we can never find pictures. Even the guy on this board who lives in the same city as the company has never seen them.

Thats what I would like to know.

CrazyHawaiian Well if you guys ever do some visit, be sure to shoot me a PM so I can take you guys down to a driftsession and show you why we love drifting so much!

I know of drifting. I rarely get to see it done except when it is shown sometimes on ESPN. Drifting is wildly popular in Japan. I did not know it was popular in Hawaii as well. I like to drift, but I cannot control it in a powerful car. If I came to Hawaii, I would just watch you do the drifting.

I had to resize that pic 3 times!!! My scanned pictures are humungus. So if you guys don't see a pic I posted, I'm busy resizing it. I don't like it when a pic is supposed to be attatched, but you can not view it.

I got tired of scanning and resizing myself. The stupid program we use makes the images fuzzy. So my car never looks that hot. It also fades out the pic. So I went and had Eckerd put them on CD for $4. Problem was teh pics were too big 1400KB per. So I fought for an hour with the cd. There were supposed to be some smaller versions on the cd somewhere. They were the preview files. Well I looked at every option on that cd and could not find it. I ended up having to go thru windows and explore the cd. Then finally I found the file and copied them to a floppy. These were 55-60KB. Much better. I was so ticked last night though trying to find that file.

Car: too many ...
Hahhaha nice pics!! Yeah drifting is a dangereous sport!! I've crashed my RS countless times testing the limits. I went into the wall at our track 7 times, ditch at a local mountain twice, and hopped a curb @ 35 once .... but car is still fine. I've also taken my mustang into the wall at tracks 2 times, into a ditch at a local mountain four times, right front fender kinda messed up but thats part of the fun!! One thing I can say though .. most drifters use imports so its different to see a domestic doing it. Domestic cars are waaaaaay stronger than imports, so when you do mess up the car can usually handle it. If I was in an import when I hopped that curb I can guarantee the axle would have broke. When I went into the wall I can guarantee there would have been dents instead of scratches (or maybe I'm just a lucky guy lol). So thumbs up from me to the strength of American made vehicles!!

But yeah, sometimes bad things can happen but thats a part of the learning curve for this sport. I have over 30 pics and some video of Revlimit and I drifting (and not crashing lol). As soon as I get my ISP going I'll post it up on my site (sorry FlynLow .. I'll email u those pix soon).

If you want the addy to Rev's site, PM me but I wont post it here because people will start bashing his car and ruin this thread.

And to keep on the subject, other body mods that could be done to a Camaro/Firebird (stock body) that I have been thinking of:

Firebird side scoops on a Camaro (could be rear brake ducts)
BMW Z3 style fender (with the vents ... only for looks tho)
Mirror swap (4th gen swap has already been done)
Front light conversion (300zx lights? not sure)
rear light conversion (someone already did the old vette style ... havent seen C5 style yet)
Air defuser in rear bumper (I'm thinking about doing this one)

But IMHO if you make it look mean you better have the performance to back it up or people will diss you.

I agree, a mean looking car should have some angry power. Right now my 2.8 Firebird is looking more on the cute side. 9 out of 10 girls agree that my car is cute. Thats not something I like to hear being a guy and all.

Domestics could be longer lasting than imports in drifting. You can literally beat the hell out of an old American car and keep on going. I saw Revlimits videos. Pretty cool. How far in miles can you drive in Hawaii. Do they have car ferries to take you to the other islands. I applaud Revlimit for putting an aluminum wing on his Camaro. It's not like he has a big Type R logo or something like that on the side. Say what you want about the wing, but it is light weight, functional, and adjustable. Its the side plates that bother me. I have seen a lot of aluminum wings and the style of side plats can make or break how the wing looks.

Also, no one talks about the drag style aluminum wings. You can see many of those on Funny Cars.

On the note of custom body work

In the semi-near future, my doors will be Scissor'd.... save the comments please. At any rate, when I get to that point, I would like to have a box will play a wav file anytime the doors are opened. (something I could easily disable, mainly for shows and sporting events) I'd like to hear the sound the sound the transformers used to make whenever they would transform. ( Constructive criticism is welcome, however flaming and "rice" claims will get as much attention as the peanuts in ma shiyet) Anyway, anyone have some ideas how I could achieve the effect ?

Hey the transforming sound could work.

I'd use something like a little memo-mate (or make something comparable, Radio Shack had a chip that'd work) to store the sound and maybe wire it into the interior light and the speaker system? That way whenever the dome light came on (with the doors opening) the track would play, and hopefully it wouldn't keep repeating. It's probably not the best way but hey, I'm trying.

Just don't get me started on those aluminum spoilers...

I like both ideas...though I'm not exactly sure what the Transformers sound like! Maybe the Cylon voice from "Battlestar Galactica", that would be kind of cool in an early 80s sort of way! They used to have that voice on the trains in the Atlanta airport, and should go back to it!

You could always burn it to CD and somehow rig it to play through your soundsystem

as for the sound. i like the 3rd and 2nd clip the most. maybe you could mix them both and it would work out really cool. if you could time it to make the sound the whole time the process was happening it would have a better effect.

Until I can see some pictures of them....maybe on 3 or 4 Camaro's with them installed.....it's going to be rare.....I have only seen one set installed around here......and it looked good. If it's not a rare thing to do ....like you were saying.............then people would have posted some pictures of them by now....

Yeah, I've looked at those....but those are the 1978-1979 Trans Am louvers in those fenders...I'm going for the 1980-1981 Z28 fender louvers....plus.....the way I'm doing will be like tons cheaper..(someone photoshopped this picture, there not actually installed)
