I did a photoshop (bad though) of what it would possibly look like.
You can get teh general idea from it though.

hood scoop

Every time I see a Trans Am with a shaker scoop, I say to myslef....."That would be bad A$$!"

The guy at Suncoast (the younger one, I can't remember his name) did one for a 4th Gen that was nice...I wouldn't think it would be too hard to make one, since the 3rd Gen hoods are relatively flat. I did see one once on a 3rd gen CAMARO, turned around backwards and screwed to the hood! The car was red, the shaker still dark blue with 6.6 Litre on the side!

My friend has a 91 Firebird Bandit II and it had a shaker hood.
I don't have pics of it at the moment, though.

Zepher, I forgot all about those...I saw one at Tanger a couple months ago. The owner is on this site, though I can't remember his name at the moment. Real nice guy. Even those aren't a "real" shaker, though...they're just attached to the hood, so they don't "shake" with the engine. A true shaker on a third gen would be cool, esp if a Pontiac motor (455 maybe?) was doing the shaking.

Looks like a Bandit II, which would mean its attached to the hood.

Couldn't you just go grab the shaker assembly off of a 2nd gen, air cleaner and all, put it on your car just like it was on the 2nd gen, and then cut a hole of the apropriate spot and size in the stock hood?

The biggest problem is that of clearence. The 2nd gen's that had those had a VERY flat dual plane intake. And not all of them were operational. Some of them had turn signal lights in them. It would still look good to see if it would actualy work.
