what would be the best & most inexpensive way to do it, would I need ot use hi temp spray??? primer it? and what color do you guys think I should paint it, I am guessing black because I am painting my block black. here is a pick og my enginebay so you guys get an idea, photo shop would be cool.

DEFINETLY leave it body color. The only other color that could work would be black, but it's not a personal favorite of mine on a thirdgen. Avoid (personal opinion) the rubberized under coating in an engine bay if you're looking for a showy look. I painted mine with a one-part PPG color matched to my fender paint. I purchased a half gallon but it only took half that (1 qt!). This was spraying 4-5 coats! The paint and all prep supplies cost me about $199. Take everything out you possibly can because it is very difficult to avoid overspray with tape and paper. The wind generated out of your gun will blow paint in every minute crevice. Cover the whole car too of course. It took me approximately a week to complete my engine bay working after hours. I hope that helps!

What looks really good is to paint it the stock color, but clear coat it. I have seen late model car that was a fluke and came from the factory that way and it looks great.

We went black with mine. Its kind of classic car thing. I did it mostly because I had all the wire looms & hoses done in red to match the body color. The car had too much red under the hood, so we went balck as an offset and it looks great.

You don;t need high temp paint for the bay. But yes I would sand it down and reprime to get a even finish and to seal the surface. Then shoot it the color of your choice.

I really just wanted to freshen it up, I know 90% of hte engine bays appearance is the engine bay itself. I guess I can repaint it blue, but I just wanted to know what everyone though.

definately leave it blue. You don't want to much black in your engine bay.
