Hey there, I found a replacement sailbird for my '90 GTA. The problem is that the clear coat over the emblem (seems like glass?) is cracked and chipping off of most of one wing. It's coming off in shards, exposing the gold layer below. Is this repairable at all? I'm thinking I should clean out the glass shards, touch up the black trim paint, and cover it with either a can of spray clearcoat (many layers to build it up) or maybe some sort of clear epoxy. Any suggestions?
