HELP! ASAP having trouble getting clear coat of 91 rims
my rims are off my car and I started to sand, but I'll have to go back to stripping because the clear coat didn't all come off
what i did: tapped tire up, put on aircraft stuff, let sit 10 minutes, put on another coat and pressure washed off, I've already polished a wheel cap and turned out fine
the "5-star" is fine, but the 'ring' is chunks off clear coat yet

i almost forgot, I tried sanding the chunks with 320, and no luck, I do have a small sand blaster, but I'd have to go pay $ 10 for a bag or 90 grit

Spray the aircraft stuff on again and scrape it off with something.. thats what I did and it worked fine on my IROC rims. Good luck.

Let the stripper sit for one hour. Then, add one more layer of stripper on top of that, and let that sit 10 minutes. Hose off, wipe dry, and your clearcoat will be gone.

thanks guys, I got it in the mean time, I just put more on, let sit for like 5 seconds, and wiped off with a towel, worked great

Sorry, but it's funny how they have to put all kinds of warnings on cans, like Don't Put In Microwave or something. I'm waitin for someone to sue due to my 1st comment.
