Sun of a beach

The sun seems to be fading my spoiler. is this common? i know that letting it sit in the sun doesn't help, but i've kept it waxed and protected all of the time. It seems as if the sun is just eating at the paint, and turning it into a white fade.

Very common. Take it to a good body shop, they'll charge you about $100 to repaint it and it'll look brand new.

Sounds like it is begining to delaminate. You need to get it repainted before it gets much worse or they will have to strip it all the way down to the primer and reseal it before repainting.

The UV damages the clear coat and then the UV gets to the sealer, which not UV resistant. It damages the sealer, so the paint falls off. That why all the old sealer has to come off in these areas. You see it as a white crusty color over the paint. I believe moisture is actually getting under the clear at this point causeing it to flake off. Not really sure on that point, but once it starts the affected areas has to go all the way back down to the sealer, or the repaint will do the same thing in a short time.

So you may want to go ask a good body shop about it, before it gets too bad to fix easily!
