Personally I like iroc2nv's better. Not that either makes me puke, but sheesh, why bein' so harsh on a thread approached farily nicely and tactfully?

THe color isn't that bad. Did our cars come with a rag top? A friend of mine has a sliding rag roof on his car and I think it is one of the best ideas he has had. They come up with different things to be different. IT take time and ALOT of money. And my friend has done most of the work himself. And what he didn't do him self, he has helped do. Thumbs up to the purple beast, but the int colors could have been picked alittle better.
And Rock, don't let the people get you down, your mods are at least done in a tastefull matter.

It was the calvin decals that really put it over the edge. Yeah, I guess I was too harsh in my first post. IROC2NV seems to do a good job putting up with a lot of BS (although I wonder why he keeps posting so many pics knowing that people are going to flame the hell out of him). I just find it ironic that he's bustin on somebody elses car after having fits with so many people that hated his.

But anyway... I was too harsh on my first post and for that I apologize. You seem to have some awful thick skin to put up with all the BS.

I just don't run around bragging about it. My car isn't anybody's favorite, and I don't lose any sleep over that. I don't get as hung up over appearance as others. I want my car to look the best it can, but rarely will I spend performance money on visual mods. The cowl hood is the only non-stock thing I have, and it's only because I needed a hood to replace my trashed stocker. The cowl hood saved a ton of weight and keeps my underhood temps down. Functionality over form.

people like their cars for a reason, and yes i do enjoy the look of a nice clean STOCK iroc but there is just too many out there and thats why i chose to do one out of the ordinary.. i will eventually pick up another and through the knowledge that i have gained from this website i now know what to look for in a car that i want via rpo codes..
i am truely sorry about how i vent on one person it just happens that they are the 10th, or the 20th or however many it is that i vent on..its not intentional and i am trying rightly hard to not do it..people are all on here for one reason..THEY LOVE THEIR CAR AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE AND GET QUESTIONS ANSWERED AND HELL EVEN ANSWER A FEW..

What if those gold fender lips were painted body color, then that would look awesome. I actuallly like that style of wheel, but not the gold finish, I like the chrome finish better. I am always curious about what other people do to their cars. It reminds me a lot of how people changed the original VW beetle. Some were Badass Cali street cruisers, while others got ornaments put all over the car, or better yet, changed into an offroad monster beetle.
When someone submits a post like "what was this guy thinking," I know it is going to be bad, but I also want to know what it looks like. It is all a matter of personal taste .

Jim, sorry for quazi-raggin' on your first car... I feel kinda bad about it.

iroc2nv, yeah, I agree that you do put up with a lot of bs that's flung at you, but that's good, and I think that you are really cool for putting up with it and not really caring and coming back anyway because you love your car, and (most of the time
) it doesn't even phase you and you don't go off screaming.I do like the color on that camaro up there.

I noticed the cut outs too. I would have liked to see more pics of that. I think they could have been quite cool. Throw some neons where the glow would pass thru for the night shows. Paint is nice.
The engine cover has some potential. I have thought about making something for the front, area on the nose, under the hood...maybe some polished stainless. Cover up the headlight motors and where the hood latch catches since its always scratched up!
I try to look past what is not my taste, to what is a potetially good idea that could be modified. Personally, I think the look is too overwhelming. But at least they followed thru. The engine matches the interior and the cargo area...
