Im trying to find the thin moulding that goes down the side of the door and the rear part of the front fender, and the front part of the rear quarter panel. You know that molding that stops knuckle heads who park to close from dinging your paint. Well Im having a hell of a time finding the stuff. I want the 88 style. I have an 87 and there supposed to be black. I dont like them.

If I stumble across a set, I'll let you know. You mentioned black, I hope that means your car is black. The original style for 87 was the thin moulding that was color coordinated with the car. 88 went to the larger style which I think are paintable. Good luck

 

No. My car is Bright Red code 81U. I mentioned black in reference to the thin 87 ones which is what I do not want.

You havnt checked the Bone yard(junk yard)? I know for a fact they have what your looking for. I would give them 3 or 4 bucks for one. Where have you looked so far?

 

Up here theres not very many Birds in the yards unfortunately. And the aftermarket places act like im from another planet if I ask for them

 

Damn, here in Dallas Texas There is a good 30% of each junk yard that has nothing but thirdgen F bodies. On Jefferson Rd there are about 10 Junk yards in a row. Loads of thirdgens. Loads.........Broken loads.......
