Can I get away with
adding a bowtie grill (bow tie is red) on a burgandy car? I guess they had that from the facotry though.....

It would only look bad if the red was used in large quantities like red stripes or something like that. A red bowtie is just fine. The red in the tailights doesn't match the burgendy either, but it still looks fine.
