Does anyone have pics of louvered headlight covers on a camaro
Hey
We were talking about headlight covers at the GEN 3 meeting and the louvered headlight covers came up. I have never seen them before. Has anyone seen them before. Better yet anyone got pics.

Now, the real question, do you know where i can find them. Even if you have a product brand and or name that would help. I have googled headlight louvers, headlight grill, headlight styling, i cant get lucky. does anyone know where you can get some of these?

OMG, that's nasty...
Those, my friends, are truly hideous. But, you could try JC Whitney, or similar places that sell cheap Chinese crap.
(And maybe you can even get a discount if you buy curb feelers, dingleballs & a stick-on hood scoop at the same time...)

IIRC those are discontinued, might have to look on ebay or classifieds. Maybe there is a shop out there that still has a set? I asked about these years ago and never found any. Good luck.
P.S. I no longer like the look. Obstruction of light emittance.

No totally ugly, IMO. But it does give the car a kind of Mad Max look.

yeah i asked where to find those like 2 or 3 months ago. never got a real response, but i most people said youd REALLY have to search ebay, or make your own. i think they're something you should run on a show car.. not much of a daily driver though.

I think thats actually pretty cool looking! Would be really BadAss to design them to where when the lights are off, they close like blinds. Turn on the headlights and they open up!
Might even help to spare headlights from rouge rocks and road debris during the daytime...

I've been looking for those covers for years. I reached out to the site that the picture came from, they said they didn't know who made them or where they got them from. They said the picture was taken to show off the hood, had nothing to do with the covers. Couldn't even give me contact info for the owner of the car.

Re: Does anyone have pics of louvered headlight covers on a camaro
It's funny that you mentioned these as I was thinking about them not that long ago. My older sister had those on her 82Z back in the 80's. I thought they looked pretty cool back then, but lets face it, I was only about 13 at the time. It was a black Z with gold ground effects and no I don't have any pics.

Re: Does anyone have pics of louvered headlight covers on a camaro
I worked with a guy that moved out to CA from MA and brought his '82 Z28 with him. He couldn't register it in CA because all the emission controls were gutted.
It was a 350 (cam, heads, etc.) with a 5-speed and it was fast car. I'm usually not scared of fast cars, but he gave me a ride in it one evening and frankly, after 30 seconds in that car, I was frightened by it. Like Speed Racer and the GRX. Just the sight of that car and I would break out into a cold sweat.
Anyway, when he was packing up and moving to Philly, he sold the car and gave me a box full of new spare parts; lug nuts, brackets and that kind of stuff. In the box there was a few sets of GTS headlight covers and a set of louvered covers.
I should have kept that stuff for you guys, but I tossed most of it.
BTW, he traded the car for a new Mazda pick-up at a dealership in Salinas, CA. The car might be gone, but that evil engine might still be lurking in the shadows.

Re: Does anyone have pics of louvered headlight covers on a camaro
I saw a car on ebay that had a set. I even asked the seller if he would sell me them, but he wouldnt seperate them from the camaro.
That was a long time ago, though.
