1. Buy an eastwood powdercoat kit and have at it, or

Hey guys thanks for all the comments. My wheels are real GM ZR-1 wheels i just had them powder coated at GM, they where originally silver. I paid 450 for the wheels and my friend that i bought them from had them powder coated for 300. but i did not want to dish out the extra money for the real Grand Sport center caps but i am going to swaps those on later.

So are those 17x9 1/2 front and 17x11 rear? Do you know what offset they are? What size spacers did you have to use, if any? Thanks

my wheels are all 17 x 9 1/2 and i did use spacers in the front but i swaped in a 4th gen rear end in so that i would not have to use the spacers and to get the disc brakes, limited slip diff and the 3.42 gears. All the tires are 275/40/17

Did Zr1 rims ever come from the factory black like that, or were they powder coated?

Black rims are......
Slow to learn or understand; obtuse?????
Tending to make poor decisions or careless mistakes?????
Marked by a lack of intelligence or care; foolish or careless????

Yeeeaaaahhh that comment was intelligent

Car: too many ...
I think black wheels look great. I'll be honest, I mostly see sport compacts with black wheels (its a japan style), but lately I've been seeing more domestics with this style. I also like the silver trim around the tire. It helps distinguish the wheel from the car (if its black). In fact, my favorite would be black/gunmetal spokes and a polished lip. It looks especially sweet on a deep dish wheel with a deep lip. I'm really happy I got to see this thread. There are two examples of the ROH ZS's powdercoated, one black, one gunmetal. I'm planning to powdercoat my ZS's pretty soon and they will be going on a black car. So now I kinda got to see what 2 of my 3 choices would look like. If you guys have ever seen TexasLT1's sig, I really like the way that looks too. Thanks guys!!

Looks ok. I don't think there is enough polished lip on those wheels to really offset the black part of the rim. Still looks great because they are really wide rims.

now tint the windows dark, so it looks like a black blob from far away, BTW nice car, looks OK, not a fan of the black rims, but it doesn't look all that bad.

I love black rims, and your car :hail: I did a quick photoshop job on a GTA (FLYNLOW89's car) since im gonna be painting mine gunmetal. I think it would be pretty nice and original since a lot of people have silver or polished wheels..

( also got rid of the silver trim..)

Ya stole my idea as well!!! However, I am throwing the black ones on a red formula, and am going 17x11" in the rear. Must...have...315s...

Are you going to have to flare the fenders to make those fit?

92RSCAMARO305 - I think it would look better without the blackouts and with a z28 spoiler. You should try VHT Nightshade spray on your taillights.
