About the easiest way to add a shift light only is to buy the Proform shift light. It has a dail on the back indicating which rpm you'd like the light to came on at anywhere from 3000-11,000 Look in Jegs part# 778-67005c $49.99, you can get it cheaper at www.noerthernautoparts.com it's like $42 buck there. Buddy has it in his Malibi and it works great, just be sure to order the optional lens cover as all shift lights are BRIGHT at night. It just hooks into the coil tach side of the distributor, plus power and ground.

i see. The only reason i would want it is so i dont have to look down at the RPM and then ****, i usually do it by listening to the engine but it would be kinda cool to just have a light go on when u should shift. And in every camaro i have been in there is a little hole under the vents in the dash and i cant figure out why the hell it is there
