I like Camaros and I like Firebirds. I like thirdgens and I would like to see a 5thgen. I put them together and this is what happened.
Hmm, I'm not quite sure what to think of that. It's not bad, but I'm not sure if I like it. I guess it's hard for me to picture a 5th gen Camaro anyway, cause I'm so used to the 3rd and 4th gen looks.

Very nice man. I dont care for the rear end that much though. Maybe round it out a little and design a new set of taillights? Other than that, I think it looks great. I wish I had drawing skillz

Looks interesting.. looks like a mix of third gen Firebird, fourth gen Firebird, some newer Corvette, and a hint of Camaro.
I kinda like it.

You must have the wrong job. You should be in the design field at GM. That really is one nice ride.

it still looks WAY TOO MUCH LIKE THE 4th gen, the basic body on it. One of the reasons people stopped buying f-bodies was b/c of a lack of upgrade to the body. The Camaros and Firebirds need to be started over from scratch and see what comes up.

I thought seriously about that until I saw what those guys go through. Actually, GM designers have a lot of good ideas, but they will never be allowed to use them. There is too much compromise when it comes to the designing a car. The design has to please the majority of the buying public, which means nothing wild or flashy, which is what I like the best. I am thinking about working for an aftermarket company though, since they have no limits to what designs they can produce. If GM thinks that cars like the Aztek and Vibe look good, then maybe I should minor in automotive design and tell GM, "What the F#%^ were you thinking."

Get a job with an aftermarket company and start making some stuff for our cars.....
FX designs
They seem to be open to new ideas since they made the clip for IROC2NV.....Contact them, you never know they may be interested.....

I can actually say I hate that thing beyond the shadow of a doubt. The Firebird is gone and that thing is produced. Talk about taking a chance on a vehicles design. Woh!
I still say they should have retested the Rageous in the car market now. They developed & tested it back in a time when people had never seen a car with angles like that. I think the test market would really like it now. I wish I had a pic to post. That car was incredible and i think it would be a great 5th gen. It still has similar styling cues to the 3rd and 4th overall, but its so now! Heck if the Vibe and Aztek made it the Rageous would sell their doors off. At least Chevy still has the vette, but Pontiac has nothing!
Heck if it wasn't for the need of an engineering degree, I would have loved to work with GMs design team. I just don't retain the math past the exam! And engineering is all about math.

I don't like station wagons, suvs, minivans or anything in between in general. I think the Rageous is better looking than the Aztek and Vibe, even the styling is not my taste. GM should have just used the Rageous platform and style again. Apparently it was too ahead of it's time.
I will have to look into working for an aftermarket parts company. What we need is for more ground effect companies to make products for thirdgens, especially bumpers and ground effects for Trans Ams and Irocs.

I like the red one a lot.
Looks very very good.
Looks like a front end off of a BMW 840/850 slapped onto a 4th gen bird. (The 850 is one of my favorite cars)

I'm not crazy about the Rageous either, but the GTO looks too much like a Grand Am or something...it screams "rental car" with nice wheels! Even the 73-4 GTOs (X-body, Nova clone) have more style than that thing. At least they got the drivetrain right, though!

I agree it looks too much like the sedans Pontiac currently carries. But who knows maybe Pontiac will surprise us! Though I have noticed with the current car trend, vehicles are going more angular, the smooth look is falling by the way side. So in that respect the Rageous would be perfect! And for me there is just something about that car!

I'm not satisfied with the way that the GTO looks either. I think I have my next sketch idea. I would have prefered a more retro look like what Ford did with the Thunderbird, or Plymouth did with the Prowler. If Chrysler could have made the PT Cruiser with 2 doors, RWD, and at least a V6, it would have been much cooler.

Hey Devian B, how about doing a "GTO Judge" sketch? Ram Air hood, hood tach, 18" Rally II style aluminum rims, wing, and its GOT to be Orbit Orange, like the GTO in "Two Lane Blacktop". Hehe, if Mustang guys can have a "Bullit" edition, we should have a "Two Lane Blacktop" edition!

Hey guess where the GTO is currently being sold? Here in Australia, but like most of you I dont like the look of it either. It is selling like great guns here which is one reason GM decided to take it to the US. The front actually looks much better that the rear. The rear is very boring and plain. The engine comes from the US which is one thing in its favor. It comes only in 3 colors and they say it is well designed, but I still think it doesnt fit the image of a REAL sporty car. Hard to beat that sixtys look isnt it?

I think the firts ones front clip looks too much like a C5 with the whole license plate thing. I like it nonetheless. I like the red one too...very nice work.
